The GO Battle League Forever Forward edition is here. These important details will help you prepare for the new GO Battle League Season. During the course of this season, you will find on this site content specific to the activities related to the GO Battle League.
GO Battle League Forever Forward Schedule
The new season starts on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). At the start of the new season, you will be able to claim your previous GO Battle League season’s rewards from the Battle screen. Likewise, your GO Battle League rank will be reset. You will then need to rank up your level using the same requirements as the prior season.
The season will continue until Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).

Guaranteed Rank-Up Encounters
The following Pokémon will show up as guaranteed encounters when you get to their respective rank. Please note, you will need to win at least 3 out of the 5 battles during a set to be able to encounter either Pokémon.
- Rank 1: Gabite
- Ace Rank (2,000 MMR): Lucario
- Veteran Rank (Veteran 2,500 MMR): Honedge
- Expert Rank (Veteran 2,750 MMR): Dreepy
- Legend Rank (Veteran 3,000+ MMR): Pikachu Libre
Dreepy cannot be shiny at this time.
GO Battle League Timed Research Pass
A pass to access battle-themed Timed Research will be available in the in-game shop at no cost once GO Battle League: Forever Forward begins. The first research page will require catching Pokémon and will award encounters with Pokémon that will help Trainers build their GO Battle League team. This Timed Research will keep track of your victories throughout the Season. Each research page will require 100 battles and 50 wins to complete, and doing so will award Stardust and items such as Rare Candy XL, an Elite Fast TM, and an Elite Charged TM.
Guaranteed Avatar Items
Trainers will be able to earn the following avatar items, which are all inspired by Cynthia, the Pokémon Champion of the Sinnoh region.
- At Rank 10, you’ll receive shoes inspired by Cynthia.
- At Rank 15, you’ll receive a hair accessory inspired by Cynthia.
- At Rank 20, you’ll receive pants inspired by Cynthia.
- At Ace rank, you’ll receive a jacket inspired by Cynthia.
- At Legend rank, you’ll receive a pose inspired by Cynthia.
