Autumn Picnic Event: Select Locations
The primary regional celebration kicks off on Friday, September 18, at 10:00 a.m and runs through Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m KST.
- Event Locations: Selected areas of Jongno-gu and Jung-gu in Seoul, alongside the Incheon International Airport HiKR Station.
- Costume Debut: Making its historic first appearance in Pokémon GO, Pikachu wearing an Orange Hanbok will headline the event. Lucky trainers might even encounter its Shiny variant!
- Raid Battles: Pikachu in an Orange Hanbok will appear in 1-Star Raids at 15 designated Gyms within the event zones. Note that these specific raids can only be completed once per day per Gym, and Remote Raid Passes cannot be used. However, your chances of encountering a Shiny form are boosted!
- Timed Research: Free event-exclusive Timed Research can be collected at the Seoul HiKR Ground and Incheon International Airport HiKR Station by spinning themed PokéStops. Completion rewards include 2,026 XP, a Premium Battle Pass, event-themed stickers, and an encounter with the Orange Hanbok Pikachu.
- Field Research & Bonuses: Spinning event PokéStops grants limited-time Field Research rewarding encounters with event-themed Pokémon, Stardust, and Orange Hanbok Pikachu (with boosted Shiny odds). Additionally, Lure Module effects will last for 2 hours, and unique map pollen effects will appear.
Korea Outing: Nationwide Celebration
For trainers outside of Seoul, there is a nationwide companion of the Autumn Picnic event running from Thursday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m. to September 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. KST.
- Coverage: Available throughout all of South Korea.
- Wild & Raid Spawns: Orange Hanbok Pikachu will expand its presence to 1-Star Raids nationwide, maintaining boosted Shiny encounter rates.
- Timed Research: Trainers across the country can complete a nationwide free Timed Research path before it expires on October 11. Rewards feature 4,500 XP, 5,500 Stardust, a Premium Battle Pass, and guaranteed Pikachu encounters.
- Special Bonuses: Enjoy a massive resource boost during these three days, including 2x Pokémon Candy for transferring Pokémon to the Professor and 2x Stardust from Raid Battles. Special celebratory fireworks effects will also light up the in-game map.
