The August 2025 Community Day features Rookidee, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. Rookidee will be available frequently in the wild, with a higher chance of encountering Shiny Rookidee. Also, you can evolve (Shiny) Rookidee up to its final evolution to get a (Shiny) Corviknight that knows the Charged Attack Air Cutter.
August 2025 Community Day Featured Attack
The Community Day is on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. However, you can still evolve (Shiny) Corvisquire ((Shiny)Rookidee’s Evolution) between the beginning of the event and September 6, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time to get a (Shiny) Corviknight that knows the Charged Attack Air Cutter.
Air Cutter is a Flying-type attack that deals 45 damage to other Pokémon in Trainer Battles and 55 damage to other Pokémon in Gyms and Raids. Furthermore, Air Cutter is super effective against Fighting-type, Bug-type, and Grass-type Pokémon.
Event Bonuses
Trainers participating in the August 2025 Community Day will have access to the following event-themed bonuses
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
*These will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.
Community Day Special Research
For US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Rookidee Community Day–exclusive Special Research. Completing this research will reward Trainers with the following:
- 3 encounters with Rookidee that have a Delightful Days–themed Special Background
- Additional encounters with Rookidee
- 1 Premium Battle Pass
- 1 Rare Candy XL

Community Day Special Background Timed Research
There will be a Timed Research that will last for a week following the event! Trainers who log into the Pokémon GO app during August Community Day will receive Timed Research. Completing the Timed Research will award an encounter with a Rookidee that has a Delightful Days–themed Special Background. You’ll even have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Rookidee when you complete these research tasks!
Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time.
Field Research
There will also be August 2025 Community Day–themed Field Research! The Field Research tasks will have you “Catch Rookidee”. Completing any of the Field Research will reward Trainers with either Stardust, Great Balls, or additional encounters with Rookidee, and more. If you GO out and explore with your community, you may even find Field Research that leads to encounters with Rookidee that have Delightful Days–themed Special Backgrounds—if you’re lucky!
