Crowned Zacian and Crowned Zamazenta will make their debut in Pokémon GO during the Pokémon GO FEST 2025. However, Trainers participating in the in-person Pokémon GO 2025 events will have early access to the new Zacian and Zamazenta forms. All other Trainers will be able to during the Pokémon GO FEST: Global 2025.
Crowned Zacian and Crowned Zamazenta forms
At the start of the Pokémon GO FEST 2025, Zacian (Hero of Many Battles) can change into Zacian (Crowned Sword) while Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) can change into Zamazenta (Crowned Shield). After changing into these forms, Zacian (Crowned) can learn its signature move—Behemoth Blade. Zamazenta (Crowned) can learn its signature move—Behemoth Bash.
What is Need to get the forms?
During Pokémon GO FEST 2025, you will need to use a newly discovered type of energy to transform Zacian into its Crowned Sword form. Likewise, you will need a different type of energy to transform Zamazenta into its Crowned Shield form. However, these energies are very rare. You can get energies either via completing the event-themed Special Research or after defeating Crowned Sword Zacian or Crowned Shield Zamazenta in Raids.
Changing Zacian and Zamazenta forms
You need two things to change either Zacian or Zamazenta forms. These are as follows.
- A Zacian (Hero of Many Battles) or a Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) that knows the Charged Attack Iron Head.
- 1,000 Crowned Sword energy for Zacian or 1,000 Crowned Shield energy for Zamazenta.
Please note that once a Trainer changes their Zacian or Zamazenta’s form, they can change that Zacian or Zamazenta form as many times as they like without using energy. Once changed, the Charged Attack Iron Head changes either to Behemoth Blade (for Zacian) or Behemoth Bash (for Zamazenta).
Additional Important Information
In addition to learning their signature moves, Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta will have the exclusive ability to join Max Battles despite not being able to Dynamax or Gigantamax. Trainers will also be able to unlock and level up either Behemoth Blade or Behemoth Bash just like it is done with Max Attack, Max Guard, and Max Spirit.
