Dipplin and Hydrapple debuts in Pokémon GO during the Harvest Festival. Dipplin and Hydrapple are the evolutions of Applin. Applin, the Apple Core Pokémon, made its debut in Pokémon GO in April 2025 with the other two evolutions, Flapple and Appletun. The Harvest Festival is on Friday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will continue until Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Dipplin and Hydrapple evolution Requirement in Pokémon GO
During the Harvest Festival, you can use 200 Applin Candy and 20 Syrupy Apples to evolve Applin into Dipplin. Likewise, You can evolve Dipplin into Hydrapple using 400 Applin Candy and by catching seven Dragon-type Pokémon with Dipplin as your buddy.
Furthermore, you can get Applin Candy by catching Applin in the wild. You can also get Syrupy Apples by ‘catching’ Apples in the wild. Beginning and during the Harvest Festival event, you might discover Syrupy Apples in the wild! You will be able to catch the Apples by ‘tapping on’ them. Tapping on these Apples will award you Sweet Apples, Tart Apples, Syrupy Apples, or encounters with Applin, or other Pokémon.
Please note that Apples have an increased chance of appearing at PokéStops with active Mossy Lure Modules. In addition, getting Applin as a Pokémon encounter after tapping on Apples is based on chance. This means you will only see Applin if you are lucky.
Dipplin and Hydrapple debuts
Dipplin is a Grass- and Dragon-type Pokémon. Dipplin’s maximum Combat Power stat (i.e. at level 50) is 2681 CP. A perfect Dipplin (i.e. Hundo) caught from Research has 1016 CP.
Hydrapple is a Grass- and Dragon-type Pokémon. Hydrapple’s maximum Combat Power stat (i.e. at level 50) is 3656 CP. A perfect Hydrapple (i.e. Hundo) caught from Research has 1386 CP.
Harvest Festival Event Bonuses
Trainers participating in the event will have access to the following bonuses during the event.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon with Pinap Berries and Silver Pinap Berries.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo and Shiny Smoliv.
- Increased chance for apples to appear at PokéStops with an active Mossy Lure Module.
Wild Encounters
Applin will be appearing in the wild but less frequently. Other event-themed Pokémon such as Miltank, Combee, Smoliv, and more will be appearing in the wild more frequently.
