The Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect is the latest game update in Pokémon GO. It is an addition to the already existing 8 other Adventure Effects in Pokémon GO. This latest Adventure Effect is going to be really useful for all Trainers who take part in Max Battles. It will make defeating Max Pokémon in Power Spots easier.
How to get Dynamax Cannon
All Pokémon GO Trainers level 13 and up will have access to Dynamax Cannon if the catch Eternatus from the GO Pass: Max Finale. Eternatus caught from the GO Pass: Max Finale encounter will know the Charged Attack Dynamax Cannon. The Dynamax Cannon Max Attack comes with a new Adventure Effect. The new effect debuts globally during the Dark Skies event leading up to Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale.
How to Use the Adventure Effect
Trainers can activate Dynamax Cannon’s Adventure Effect by using 5,000 Stardust and 30 Eternatus Candy. Using the effect will temporarily boost their Pokémon’s Max Moves by one level in Max Battles for 10 minutes. As an example, Max Moves that are locked will temporarily be raised to Level 1. Max Moves that have been fully trained to Level 3 will increase to Level 4. You will want to max your Pokémon’s Max moves to be able to benefit from the level 4 boost. Level 4 will provide an outsized power relative to a standard level up.
Furthermore, you can extend the timer for Dynamax Cannon’s Adventure Effect in increments of 10 minutes by using more Stardust and Eternatus Candy. You can extend the timer up to two hours each time you tap “Use”. You can tap Use again to add additional time—up to 24 hours total!
Please note that Dynamax Cannon cannot be active at the same time as another Adventure Effect.
When to Use the Adventure Effect
After catching Eternatus that knows the Charged Attack Dynamax Cannon, you will want to spend the resources needed to take the attack to its max. This is because during the weekend of August 23 and 24, Eternamax Eternatus will be in Power Spots. Eternamax Eternatus is the biggest Max Battle challenge yet in Pokémon GO. You will need your Eternatus ready to be able to battle and win. Create a battle party with your Eternatus in it. Furthermore, make sure you activate the Adventure Effect before battling Eternamax Eternatus.
It is important to know that you will need a lot of Stardust and Eternatus Candy to be able to efficiently use your Eternatus. You will get the Candy from the GO Pass: Max Finale. In addition, you will get more Stardust, Candy and Candy XL from defeating Eternamax Eternatus (instead of catching it when the battle is completed).
