February 2026 Community Day: Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix

The February 2026 Community Day features the Fox Pokémon, Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix, appearing more frequently in the wild. Both Pokémon will have a higher chance to appear as Shiny or with a Special Background. You can evolve Vulpix (or Alolan Vulpix) into Ninetales (or Alolan Ninetales) by using 50 Vulpix Candy.

The Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix Community Day starts on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time. It will continue until 5:00 p.m. local time the same day. However, some event-themed bonuses will end the same day at 9:00 p.m. local time.

February 2026 Community Day Featured Attack

If you evolve Vulpix between 2:00 p.m. and 8:59 p.m. local time on Sunday, February 1, 2026, you will get a Ninetales that knows the Charged Attack Energy Ball. Energy Ball is a Grass-type Charged Attack. It deals 90 damage and costs 55 energy when used in Trainer Battles (i.e., PVP). When used in Gym and Raid battles (i.e., PVE), it deals 90 damage and costs 50 energy. Grass-type Energy Ball is effective against Rock-, Ground-, and Water-type Pokémon.

If you evolve Alolan Vulpix between 2:00 p.m. and 8:59 p.m. local time on Sunday, February 1, 2026, you will get an Alolan Ninetales that knows the Charged Attack Chilling Water. Chilling Water is a Water-type Charged Attack. It deals 60 damage and costs 45 energy when used in Trainer Battles (i.e., PVP). When used in Gym and Raid battles (i.e., PVE), it deals 65 damage and costs 33 energy. Chilling Water is effective against Rock-, Ground-, and Fire-type Pokémon.

Event Bonuses

• 3× XP for catching Pokémon.

• You can take five (5) snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
• Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon.*
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three (3).*
• Trades will require 50% less Stardust.*

*These bonuses will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.

Regular Lure Module Bonus

The Lure Module bonus will be active on February 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time. When used, Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix will have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules. Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix attracted to regular Lure Modules will still have an increased chance to be Shiny and may have a Special Background.

Field Research

February Community Day–themed Field Research will be available! Catch Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix to earn rewards such as Stardust, Ultra Balls, additional encounters with Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix, and more! You may even find Field Research that leads to encounters with Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix that have a Special Background—if you’re lucky!

Hundo Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix from Field or Special Research

If you encounter a Vulpix (or Alolan Vulpix) with 378 CP after completing either a Field or Special Research task, that is a hundo. If Shiny, that’s a Shundo. If you encounter a Ninetales with 977 CP after completing either a Field or Special Research task, that is a hundo. If Shiny, that’s a Shundo. If you encounter an Alolan Ninetales with 989 CP after completing either a Field or Special Research task, that is a hundo. If Shiny, that’s a Shundo.

Make the best out of Kanto and Alolan Vulpix’s February 2026 Community

Do the following to make the best out of the Community Day.

• Use either Mega Charizard Y, Primal Groudon, Mega Abomasnow, or Mega Glalie
• Use either Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Freeze Shock, or Ice Burn Adventure Effect.
• Use Lucky Egg throughout the 3-hour event if you want more XP.
• Use regular Incense during the event. You can use 8 regular incenses. It will last you for 24 hours.

It is recommended to do the above as soon as the event starts at 2:00 p.m. local time.
