Gigantamax Meowth in Pokémon GO
Gigantamax Meowth is set to make its debut in Pokémon GO. On its release during the Precious Paths Season, it will be the 16th Gigantamax Pokémon to be released in Pokémon GO. At the time of writing this, we do not have a day for its release. However, we are sure it will be one of the weekends during the Precious Paths Season.
Since the debut of Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon in Pokémon GO, fifteen Gigantamax Pokémon have been released. Check out the Best Gigantamax Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
Gigantamax Meowth
Pokémon GO Trainers will have the chance to encounter and catch Meowth in its Gigantamax (or GMax) form after defeating it in Power Spots. If lucky, the one you encounter may be Shiny. Please note that we would NOT be able to evolve this form of Meowth into its evolution, Persian.
Gigantamax Mewoth is a Normal-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. In Max Battles, it is weak to Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon that can learn Fighting-type moves. If used in other battles (Raids, Gyms, etc), it is weak to all Pokémon that can learn Fighting-type moves.
Consequently, if you are preparing to get yourself Meowth in its Gigantamax form, Gigantamax Machamp is your best attacker. Go ahead and make your Gigantamax Machamp ready. Likewise, you will need Crowned Shield Zamazenta and Dynamax Blissey to make up your best team against GMax Meowth.
Gigantamax Meowth Stats
Its most important stats are as follows.
- Maximum Combat Power (CP): 846 CP
- Hundo (or Shundo) CP from Max Battles: 427 CP
- Best moves: Scratch as a Fast Attack. Body Slam as a Charged Attack.
- Scratch is one of Pokémon GO’s 0.5 Second Fast Attacks for Max Battles
- You need an Elite Charge TM to teach it Body Slam.
- In Gyms and Raids, Body Slam has a slightly better Damage Per Second (DPS) and Total Damage Output (TDO) than its G-Max attack (i.e., G-Max Gold Rush).
- As a Max Attack, G-Max Gold Rush deals more damage than Body Slam, although it requires more energy.
- Attack capabilities: 92
- Defense capabilities: 78
- Healing Capabilities (i.e., HP): 120
- Weakness: Fighting-type attacks
- Strength: Ghost-type attacks
Its attack, defense, and healing capabilities make it the worst Normal-type Gigantamax Pokémon. This means it would not be a recommended choice for either your Dynamax or Gigantamax Battle team, even though it takes reduced damage from Ghost-type attacks.
Therefore, you do not need to spend a lot of time, money, and energy getting a GMax Meowth. However, if you want more Startdust and XP, winning Gigantamax Battles is a good source of both.
On a final note, don’t get hyped about getting one!
