It is the first event of the Max Out Season in Pokémon GO. Now is the time to GO ALL OUT in Pokémon GO and experience the Pokémon first discovered in the Galar region of Pokémon making their debut in Pokémon GO. The event starts on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time and ends on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Pokémon Debuts
The following Galar Pokémon will make their debut in Pokémon GO.
- Grookey and its evolutions.
- you need 25 Grookey Candy to evolve Grookey into Thwackey, and 100 Grookey Candy to evolve Thwackey into Rillaboom.
- Scorbunny and its evolutions.
- you need 25 Scorbunny Candy to evolve Scorbunny into Raboot, and 100 Scorbunny Candy to evolve Raboot into Cinderace.
- Sobble and its evolutions.
- you need 25 Sobble Candy to evolve Sobble into Drizzile, and 100 Sobble Candy to evolve Drizzile into Inteleon.
- Dreepy and its evolutions.
- you need 25 Dreepy Candy to evolve Dreepy into Drakloak, and 100 Dreepy Candy to evolve Drakloak into Dragapult.
- Stonjourner – a regional Pokémon available only to trainers in the United Kingdom.
Event Bonuses
During the event, trainers will have access to the following bonuses.
- 2x XP for catching Pokémon.
- 2x XP for evolving Pokémon.

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently during the event.

- Dreepy (appearing less frequently)
Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Dreepy cannot be shiny yet. However, for the first time in Pokémon GO, trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Skwovet and Shiny Wooloo. These new shiny have 1 in 64 odds to be shiny.

Field Research Tasks
There will be event-based Field Research tasks that reward trainers with an encounter with certain Pokémon, depending on which task is it.
Max Out Season Special Research
A new Special Research story with branching parts will be available at the start of the event. The research story involves trainers choosing their partner Pokémon and adventuring with it. Depending on the chosen partner Pokémon, your Postcard Book background will change for the Season to celebrate your new companion.
It will be a season-long special research story.
Collection Challenge
There will be an event-themed Collection Challenge. The Collection Challenge and rewards are as follows
