Into the Depths event: Glimmet debuts in Pokémon GO!

The Into the Depths event features the debut of Glimmet, the Ore Pokémon, and its evolution, Glimmora. The event starts on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will be on until Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Trainers have a chance to encounter Glimmet from Routes, Field Research, free Timed Research, and paid Timed Research.

Glimmet is a Rock- and Poison-type Pokémon.

In Pokémon GO, its stats are as follows.

• Weakness: It is especially weak to Ground-type attacks. It is weak to Psychic-, Steel-, and Ice-Water attacks.
• Strength: It resists Bug-, Fairy-, Fire-, Flying-, Normal-, and Poison-type attacks.
• Maximum Combat Power (CP): 1899 CP
• Best Attacks: Rock Throw as a Fast Attack. Power Gem as a Charged Attack.
• Favorable weather: its encounters and attacks are boosted during Partly Cloudy or Cloudy Windy weather in-game.
• Perfect IVs: a 100% IV Glimmet encountered as a raid reward has 959 CP (during non-boosted weather conditions) or 1200 CP (when weather-boosted). If a perfect Glimmet is encountered as a research reward, it will have 720 CP. 
• Size: The smallest (XXS) Glimmet has a height of 0.34 m. The tallest (XXL) Glimmet has a height of 1.23 m. To win Glimmet PokéStop Showcases, enter your Glimmettrel whose height is between 1.05 m and 1.2225 m

You can use 50 Glimmet Candy to evolve Glimmet into Glimmora.

Into the Depths Event Details

The other details are as follows.

• Bonus: 3× XP from completing Routes, 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance, and increased chance to catch Shiny Diglette
• Wild encounters: Diglett, Dunsparce, Meditite, Yungoos, and more will appear in the wild. Please note that Shinx will be appearing less frequently.
• Eggs: Diglett, Larvita, Bagon, Deino, and Yungoos will be hatching from the 7 km Egg received during the event days.
• Field Research Task and encounters: Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Completing Field Research tasks leads to encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
