The Jangmo-o Community Day features the Scaly Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild. Not just that, Trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Jangmo-o more than usual i.e. with increased Shiny odds. However, this is dependent on how lucky you get during the Community Day.
The June 2025 Community Day is on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Jangmo-o Community Day Featured Attack
Trainers can evolve Hakamo-o (Jangmo-o’s Evolution) from the start of the event and up until June 28, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time to get a Kommo-o that knows the Charged Attack Clanging Scales. Clanging Scales is a Dragon-type move with the following effect when used in their respective battle type
- Trainer Battles i.e., PVP: 120 power and decreases Defense by one stage
- Gyms and raids i.e., PVE: 120 power
June 2025 Community Day Research
The following research will be available during the Jangmo-o Community Day.
- Special Research: For US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Community Day–exclusive Special Research. Completing this research will reward you with 3 encounters with Jangmo-o that have Delightful Days–themed Special Backgrounds, additional encounters with Jangmo-o, 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1 Rare Candy XL, and even more goodies.
- Community Day Special Background Timed Research: This research will be available at the start of the event and then for a week following the Community Day. The research awards an encounter with a Jangmo-o that has a Delightful Days-themed Special Background. In addition, you’ll even have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Jangmo-o when you complete these research tasks.
- Field Research Tasks towards catching Jangmo-o will be available. Completing these will reward you with either Stardust, Great Balls, or additional encounters with Jangmo-o. What you get depends on the task. You may even find Field Research that leads to encounters with Jangmo-o that have Delightful Days–themed Special Backgrounds.
June 2025 Community Day Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be available for all Trainers participating in the event.
- 3× XP for catching Pokemon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Five Jangmo-o encounters from taking a few snapshots during Community Day.
The above bonuses will be active till the end of the event at 5:00 p.m. local time. However, the following will be active until 10:00 p.m. local time.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
Other Important details about June 2025 Community Day
- PokéStop Showcases will be available at different PokéStops during Jangmo-o Community Day. You can put your largest Jangmo-o or Kommo-o for a chance to earn rewards when the showcase ends.
- You can find Community Ambassador-hosted Community Day events on the Community Day map that you can attend. You will be able to join other Trainers for a fun experience. In addition, you get free research when you check-in to the event at the location
