The Kanto Celebration Event featuring some Mega Pokémon, Dynamax Legendary Birds, and more, starts on Tuesday, September 2, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The event will continue until Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Kanto Celebration Event: Mega Pokémon
Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Blastoise will be available in Mega Raids starting from Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. These Mega Pokémon will be in Mega Raids until Tuesday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Furthermore, there will be a free event-exclusive Timed Research. Completing the research tasks will reward you with XP, Stardust, Mega Energy, and encounters with the following Pokémon on different days of the event.
- Tuesday, September 2, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, September 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time: Farfetch’d
- Wednesday, September 3, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, September 4, at 10:00 a.m. local time: Kangaskhan
- Thursday, September 4, at 10:00 a.m. to Friday, September 5, at 10:00 a.m. local time: Mr Mime
- Friday, September 5, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, September 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time: Tauros
The research expires. You will need to complete the tasks and claim the rewards for each time period.
Kanto Celebration Event: Dynamax Legendary Birds
To get the Dynamax Legendary Birds, you will need to purchase a Special Research. The Special Research costs US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Completing the Special Research will reward you with Dynamax Articuno, Dynamax Zapdos, Dynamax Moltres, and more. The Dynamax Legendary Birds encountered from the Special Research can be shiny.

The event is not only focused on Mega Evolutions in Raids and Dynamax Legendary Birds in Special Research, but also focuses on different bonuses and wild encounters.
