Kyurem Fusion Raid Day in Pokémon GO

The Kyurem Fusion Raid Day comes with an opportunity to battle the twin heroes for truth and ideals in Five-Star Raids. On Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem, and White Kyurem will appear more frequently in raids.

Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Bonuses

Trainers participating in the raid day will experience the following

• Five-Star Raids
  • Reshiram and Black Kyurem: 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m
  • Zekrom and White Kyurem: 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of six).
• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Reshiram, Shiny Zekrom, and Shiny Kyurem in raids.
• The Remote Raid Pass limit will increase to 20 from Friday, January 9, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. PST.

Please note that Trainers will have a chance to catch Kyurem after defeating Black Kyurem or White Kyurem. Likewise, Trainers will receive Fusion Energy as part of the raid’s item rewards after defeating Black Kyurem or White Kyurem.

Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Featured Attacks

• Reshiram encountered in raids will also know the Charged Attack Fusion Flare.
• Zekrom encountered in raids will also know the Charged Attack Fusion Bolt.
• Kyurem encountered in raids may know the Charged Attack Glaciate.

Raid Day Event Ticket

For US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you can purchase a ticket that grants the following bonuses.

• Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
• Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
• 50% more XP from Raid Battles
• 2× Stardust from Raid Battles

These bonuses will be effective on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Please note that this ticket will only be available in the in-game shop until Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. local time.

Pokémon Fusion

Kyurem can fuse with either Reshiram or Zekrom. When you fuse Kyurem with Reshiram, you get White Kyurem. When you fuse Kyurem with Zekrom, you get Black Kyurem. Both White Kyurem and Black Kyurem are the more powerful forms of Kyurem, with altered appearances.

White Kyurem: To get White Kyurem, you need 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. Furthermore, to get a White Kyurem that knows its Special Charged Attack Ice Burn, you need to fuse a Kyurem that knows its Special Charged Attack Glaciate with any Reshiram. The White Kyurem will also inherit the stats of the fused Kyurem.

Black Kyurem: To get Black Kyurem, you need 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Furthermore, to get a Black Kyurem that knows its Special Charged Attack Freeze Shock, you need to fuse a Kyurem that knows its Special Charged Attack Glaciate with any Zekrom. The Black Kyurem will also inherit the stats of the fused Kyurem.

Fusion Energy, Reshiram Candy, Zekrom Candy, and Kyurem Candy will be available as raid rewards after completing the raids. However, note that only White Kyurem or Black Kyurem gives Fusion Energy after they are defeated in raids.

A Benefit of White Kyurem and Black Kyurem

White Kyurem

After fusing Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows the Charged Attack Glaciate, Glaciate will turn into the Charged Attack Ice Burn. Ice Burn will change back to Glaciate when Reshiram is separated from Kyurem.

Ice Burn gives White Kyurem an Adventure Effect capability. When activated, the target ring in Pokémon encounters will move more slowly, making it easier to land Excellent Throws. This also makes Pokémon much easier to catch, including with connected accessory devices.

Ice Burn cannot be active at the same time as another Adventure Effect. Currently, Ice Burn cannot be learned via Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.

Black Kyurem

After fusing Zekrom with a Kyurem that knows the Charged Attack Glaciate, Glaciate will turn into the Charged Attack Freeze Shock. Freeze Shock will change back to Glaciate when Zekrom is separated from Kyurem.

Freeze Shock gives Black Kyurem an Adventure Effect capability. When activated, the Pokémon you encounter won’t be able to move, making them easier to catch, including with connected accessory devices.

Freeze Shock cannot be active at the same time as another Adventure Effect. Currently, Freeze Shock cannot be learned via Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.
