Lucky Trinket is a brand-new item in Pokémon GO. It will make its debut during the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global. The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, and Sunday, March 2, 2025. The tour hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day.

How to Earn the Lucky Trinket in Pokémon GO

Lucky Trinket is an item that Pokémon GO trainers can earn if they purchase the GO Tour Pass Deluxe. GO Tour Pass Deluxe is a paid version of the Tour Pass. It will be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression towards earning Tour Points.

All Trainers will automatically receive their Tour Pass at no cost on Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. local time. However, when you upgrade to a Tour Pass Deluxe, you’ll get an immediate encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini. This is in addition to the one you might have caught before! You can upgrade to a Tour Pass Deluxe at any time. You will be able to collect rewards from previously unlocked tiers via the free Tour Pass.

Trainers with the Tour Pass Deluxe can earn the Lucky Trinket when they reach the highest tier. This tier can be reached by progressing from tier 1 (see sample video above) and earning more Tour Points! You can earn Tour Points in two ways.

• 1. Activities: catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching Eggs will each earn you a small amount of points. The more you play, the more you earn!
• 2. Pass Tasks: completing event-themed Pass Tasks (similar to Field Research). These will help you collect more points and rank up, getting you to more rewards in less time. Pass Tasks refresh daily from Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time. During Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global, Pass Tasks will refresh every hour from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time each day.

Either the activities or Pass Tasks will help you accumulate points to progress through the Tour Pass tiers. Rewards unlocked in the Tour Pass Deluxe will expire on Sunday, March 9, at 6:00 p.m. local time. Be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!

How to Use Lucky Trinket in Pokémon GO

Lucky Trinket is a one-time-use item that can be used to turn one friend into a Lucky Friend. When used, the Lucky Trinket will set the status of you and your chosen friend to Lucky. This is possible even if you aren’t Best Friends yet. The next time you trade with each other, both Pokémon in trade will become Lucky Pokémon. After the trade, your Lucky Friend status will be cleared.

There are however conditions to using a Lucky Trinket.

• You must be at least Great Friends with the Trainer that you wish to apply your Lucky Trinket to.
• You cannot use a Lucky Trinket with a Trainer you are currently Lucky Friends with.
• Using a Lucky Trinket on a friend does not change the distance at which you can complete a trade.
• You can disable the permission in your app settings page. This is if you don’t want Lucky Trinkets to be used on you.

This exciting item will only stay in your Item Bag for a limited time. It will expire on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time, regardless of when you claimed it. Don’t forget to use it!

How Much Does a Tour Pass Deluxe cost?

The cost of a Tour Pass Deluxe depends on which tier you want to start your progression. If you want to start at tier 1, then the cost is US$14.99. If you want to start at tier 10, then the cost is US$19.99. Either will grant you access to the Tour Pass Deluxe track.

Rewards from the US$14.99 include the following.

• An encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini
• Encounters with event-themed Pokémon
• An event-themed avatar item
• One Lucky Trinket
• And more!

Note: All Trainers can encounter Victini via Tour Pass, even if they’ve caught it before!

The US$19.99 will grant you access to a number of ranks already unlocked. This cost includes the Tour Pass Deluxe, plus enough Tour Points to automatically unlock ten ranks of rewards. You can collect the rewards from the 10 ranks you jumped immediately upon purchase.

The Tour Pass Deluxe will be available on the Pokémon GO Web Store and in the in-game shop. This is from Monday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, at 6:00 p.m. local time.
