The Mankey Community Day event is on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The Community Day event will feature Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild, with an increased chance to be shiny.
Featured Attack
Mankey (or Primeape) that is evolved during the event or up to five hours after the event will get you a Primeape (or Annihilape) that knows Rage Fist as its Charged Attack.
Rage Fist is an exclusive Ghost-type attack that deals 50 damage in Trainer Battles and increases Attack by one stage. It also deals 100 damage in Gyms and Raids battle.
Community Day Special Research
For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), trainers will be able to access the Mankey Community Day exclusive Special Research.
Community Day Field Research
The Community Day exclusive Field Research will be available for Trainers when Spinning a Pokéstop. Trainers will get the research only when there is at least one space available for a new Field Research.

Community Day Event Bonuses
- Limited-time Evolution requirement
- Evolving Primeape into Annihilape requires you to defeat either 30 Psychic- or Ghost-type Pokémon with the Primeape as your buddy. However, for the Community Day event, you can evolve Primeape into Annihilape after catching 20 Fighting-type Pokémon with the Primeape as your buddy. This bonus is active during the event and up to five hours after the event.
- 3x XP for catching Pokémon
- 2x Candy for catching Pokémon
- 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during the Community Day event as five (5) of those will get you encounters with Mankey
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
- Trades during the event and up to five hours after will require 50% less Stardust
Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day
After the three-hour Mankey Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on Primeape in four-star Raid Battles. Defeating Primeape in any of these raids will cause more Mankey to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. These raids are in-person raids only.
Mankey that appear under these circumstances will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appear during November Community Day’s three-hour event period.
Event-themed PokéStop Showcases
There will be showcases featuring Mankey and Annihilape. Showcase your XXL Mankey or Annihilape to be able to win the showcase (or be part of the top three) and get rewarded XP, Stardust, and items when your XXL Pokémon wins the showcase.
Recommended Tips
- Be on the lookout for the perfect IV Mankey. The perfect IV Mankey from Field Research has a 499 CP. While those in the wild, guaranteed to be perfect IV Mankey has a 1081 CP in boosted weather conditions for Mankey and a 998 CP for non-weather boosted conditions.
- Ensure you have a Mega-Level 3 Fighting-type Pokemon evolved for the event. You can mega-evolve either Blaziken, Lopunny, Lucario, or Medicham.
