Mega Camerupt Raid Day is upon us. Mega Camerupt will make its debut in Pokémon GO. Trainers will be able to battle Mega Camerupt in Mega Raids. Upon winning mega raids, Trainers will be able to catch Camerupt, receive Camerupt Mega Energy, and more. In addition, Camerupt encountered from the Mega Raids can be shiny, if you are lucky.
Mega Camerupt Raid Day
The Mega Raid Day is on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Consequently, Trainers will be able to get the Mega Energy needed to Mega Evolve Camerupt (Numel’s evolution) into its Mega form.
Please note that the initial Mega Evolution cost is 200 Camerupt Mega Energy. Subsequent Mega Evolutions will cost 40 Camerupt Mega Energy.
Mega Camerupt’s stats
Mega Camerupt, a Fire- and Ground-type Pokémon, will have an attack stat of 253, a defense stat of 183, and a HP stat of 172. These stats make it a sub-par Fire- or Ground-type attackers in Pokémon GO. There are better Fire-type Mega Pokémon (e.g. Mega Charizard Y) and Ground-type Mega Pokémon (e.g. Primal Groudon). Furthermore, Mega Camerupt’s maximum Combat Power stat is 3641 CP. This is the CP for a maxed-Pokémon level and perfect Camerupt in its Mega Evolved form.
Hundo Camerupt from Raids
If the Camerupt you encounter has a CP of 1253 or 1566, that’s a hundo. A perfect (hundo) Camerupt has 1253 CP in non-weather boosted conditions and 1566 CP in weather boosted conditions.
Mega Camerupt Weakness
Mega Camerupt is double-weak to Pokémon with Water-type moves. It is single-weak to Pokémon with Ground-type moves. This means your best counters against Mega Camerupt are as follows.
- Primal Kyogre with Water-type Fast and Charged Moves
- Shadow Kyogre with Water-type Fast and Charged Moves
- Shadow Swampert with Water-type Fast and Charged Moves
- Shadow Blastoise with Water-type Fast and Charged Moves
- Shadow Gyarados with Water-type Fast Move and Charged Moves
- Shadow Groudon with Ground-type Fast and Charged Moves
If you don’t have the Shadow forms of the recommended Pokémon, you can use their non-shadow form. Either way, ensure your counters are powered up to at least their level 35.
