Mega Mawile and its Recommended Counters

Mega Mawile is a Steel- and Fairy-type Deceiver Pokémon. It is available in Pokémon GO via Mega Raids. It is moderately weak (1.6x) against Pokémon with Fire-, and Ground-type attacks. Its base form, Mawile, is one of the Pokémon from the Hoenn Region.

The following are the recommended counters you should have in your battle party when participating in Mega Mawile raids.

Using the above-recommended teams will make trainers 1 – 3 Trainers defeat Mega Mawile faster. However, if you do not have these full teams, you can still win. You need to raid with at least 4 other trainers. Ensure you use Pokemon with either Fire- or Ground-type move as a Fast Attack or as a Charged Attack.

  • Its best moves/attacks in Pokémon GO are Fairy Wind as a Fast Attack and Play Rough as a Charged Attack.

  • Any Mawile obtained from a Field or Special Research can be from 658 CP to 700 CP.
  • 934 CP, 1167 CP, and 700 CP are the CP for a perfect (aka, hundo) one when encountered from their respective means.
  • The tallest possible one is 1.07 m high (i.e. XXL).
  • The shortest possible one is 0.3 m high (i.e. XXS).
  • Mawile requires 200 Mega Energy for its first Mega Evolution into Mega Mawile
