Mega Pinsir and its Recommended Counters

Mega Pinsir is a Bug- and Flying-type Stag Beetle Pokémon. It is available in Pokémon GO via Mega Raids. Mega Pinsir is extremely weak (2.56x) against Pokémon with Rock-type attacks. It is moderately weak (1.6x) against Pokémon with Electric-, Fire-, Flying- and Rock-type attacks/moves.

Mega Pinsir Recommended Counters

The following are the recommended counters you should have in your battle party when participating in Mega Pinsir raids.

Using the above-recommended teams will make trainers 1 – 3 Trainers defeat Mega Pinsir faster. However, if you do not have these full teams, you can still win. You need to raid with at least 4 other trainers. Ensure you use Pokemon with either Smack Down/Rock Throw/Fire Spin as a Fast Attack or Rock Slide/Rock Wrecker/Stone Edge as a Charged Attack.

  • Pinsir’s maximum Combat Power (CP) stat is 3345 CP (at level 50).
  • Its best moves/attacks in Pokémon GO are Fury Cutter as a Fast Attack and X-Scissor as a Charged Attack.
