Pinch Perfect event: Klawf Debuts in Pokémon GO

The Pinch Perfect event comes with the debut of Klawf, the Ambush Pokémon, in Pokémon GO. Also, Shiny Dhelmise will be available in Pokémon GO for the first time. Both Klawf and Shiny Dhelmise will be available at the start of the event on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The event ends on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Pokémon Debuts

Klawf is a Rock-type Pokémon. In Pokémon GO, its stats are as follows.

• Weakness: It is weak to Fighting-, Grass-, Ground-, Steel-, and Water-type attacks.
• Strength: It resists Fire-, Flying-, Normal-, and Poison-type attacks.
• Maximum Combat Power (CP): 2717 CP
• Best Attacks: Rock Throw as a Fast Attack. Rock Slide as a Charged Attack.
• Favorable weather: Klawf encounters and attacks are boosted during Partly Cloudy weather in-game.
• Perfect IVs: a 100% IV Klawf encountered as a raid reward has 1373 CP (during non-boosted weather conditions) OR 1716 CP (when weather-boosted). If a perfect Klawf is encountered as a research reward, it will have 1030 CP.
• Size: The smallest (XXS) Klawf has a height of 0.64 m. The tallest (XXL) Klawf has a height of 2.6 m. To win Klwaf PokéStop Showcases, enter your Klawf whose height is between 1.95 m and 2.6 m.

Dhelmise is a Ghost and Grass-type Pokémon. Dhelmise already exists in Pokémon GO. However, lucky Trainers may encounter Shiny Dhelmise in Pokémon GO from the start of the event. Its stats are as follows.

• Weakness: It is weak to Dark-, Fire-, Flying-, Ghost-, and Ice-type attacks.
• Strength: It resists Electric-, Grass-, Ground-, Water-, Fighting-, and Normal-type attacks.
• Maximum Combat Power (CP): 3335 CP
• Best Attacks: Shadow Claw as a Fast Attack. Power Whip as a Charged Attack.
• Favorable weather: Dhelmise encounters and attacks are boosted during Fog and Sunny weather in-game.
• Perfect IVs: a 100% IV Dhelmise encountered as a raid reward has 1685 CP (during non-boosted weather conditions) OR 2107 CP (when weather-boosted). If a perfect Dhelmise is encountered as a research reward, it will have 1264 CP.
• Size: The smallest (XXS) Dhelmise has a height of 1.91 m. The tallest (XXL) Klawf has a height of 7.8 m. To win Dhelmise PokéStop Showcases, enter your Dhelmise whose height is between 5.85 m and 7.8 m.

Pinch Perfect event bonuses

Trainers participating in the event will have access to the following event-themed bonuses.

• 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
• Increased chance of encountering Shiny Corphish, Shiny Dwebble, and Shiny Clauncher.

Other event details

Wild Encounters

Different event-themed Pokémon will be appearing in the wild. These include Corphish, Dwebble, Clauncher, and more. However, Tirtouga and Archen will be appearing less frequently in the wild.

Raid Encounters

Different event-themed Pokémon will be appearing in different raid tiers. Corphish, Dwebble, and Clauncher will be available in One-Star Raids. Dhelmise and Dondozo will be available in Three-Star Raids.

Field Research Tasks and Encounters

Event-themed Pokémon will be available to encounter after completing different Field Research tasks. These Pokémon are Corphish, Dwebble, Clauncher, Dhelmise, and Klawf.

Timed Research Tasks

Three event-themed Timed Research will be available throughout the event on the following schedule!

• Tuesday, January 6, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time: Complete the Timed research tasks to earn encounters with Dwebble and Klawf.
• Thursday, January 8, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time: Complete the Timed research tasks to earn encounters with Corphish and Klawf.
• Saturday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time: Complete the Timed research tasks to earn encounters with Clauncher and Klawf.
