Pokémon Type of the Week: Poison

For the week of August 19th to August 27th, 2023, I caught 2,321 Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Most of which are of the Poison-type Pokémon. Although there are a lot of double-typing Pokémon in Pokémon GO, I caught a total of 464 Pokémon that share the Poison type with other Pokémon types.

The high number of Poison-type Pokémon caught this week is a result of the Noxious Swamp event in Pokémon GO which featured many Poison-type (and Dragon-type) Pokémon in the wild. The Poison-type Pokémon were:

  • Zubat (poison and flying).
  • Venonat (bug and poison).
  • Tentacool (water and poison).
  • Gulpin (poison).
  • Skorupi (poison and bug).
  • Skrelp (poison and water).

The Noxious Swamp event was from Saturday, August 19th at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 22 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
