The Pokémon GO Ancients Recovered event starts on Monday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. local time and continues until Friday, June 27, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The event features some Legendary Pokémon appearing in five-star raids each day. It also features the Galarian Legendary Birds available in Paid Timed Research.
Pokémon GO Ancients Recovered Raids
The following Pokémon will appear in raids on their respective days. They will also be featured in a Raid Hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time on that day. Note: If you’re lucky, you may encounter Shiny of any.

Ancients Recovered Featured Attacks
The Pokémon appearing in five-star raids, as specified earlier, will also be able to learn their special attacks. They will know the following special attack when you catch them during the event.
- Regirock will know the Charged Attack Earthquake
- Regice will know the Charged Attack Thunder
- Registeel will know the Charged Attack Zap Cannon
- Regieleki will know the Charged Attack Thunder Cage
- Regidrago will know the Fast Attack Dragon Breath and the Charged Attack Dragon Energy
- Regigigas will know the Charged Attack Crush Grip
Ancients Recovered Max Battles
After their initial debuts, Gigantamax Rillaboom, Gigantamax Cinderace, and Gigantamax Inteleon will be appearing in some Power Spots hosting six-star Max Battles. This will occur throughout the event days (i.e. Monday, June 23 to Friday, June 27).
Ancients Recovered Event bonuses
- Increased Remote Raid Pass limit to 30. This will be effective from Monday, June 23, to Thursday, June 26, 2025. However, there will be no limit on Remote Raids from Friday, June 27, to Sunday, June 29, 2025.
- Trainers level 31 and up are guaranteed to receive Candy XL for trading Pokémon from June 23 at 10:00 a.m. local time to June 29 at 11:59 p.m. local time.
- Trainers can receive special event stickers from PokéStops and Gifts.
Ancient Recovered Event Researches
- Global Challenge: There will be a Global Challenge from Sunday, June 22, at 1:00 p.m. PDT to June 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. PDT. If the challenge is completed in time, all Trainers will benefit from the following bonuses until the end of 2025’s Global GO Fest event!
- Premier Balls will be more effective at catching Pokémon after raids.
- Party Power will charge faster in raids.
- Timed Research: Legendary Giants: There will be raid-themed Timed Research granting encounters with Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regigigas, Regieleki, and Regidrago when completed. Please note Trainers who complete this Timed Research will get to make a surprise choice, and they’ll have the opportunity to repeat the research multiple times.
- Timed Research: Fleeting Legends: For US$7.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll receive event-exclusive Timed Research leading to an encounter with your choice of either Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, or Galarian Moltres.
New Pokémon Backgrounds Debut!
After catching certain Pokémon from Raid Battles, Trainers will have a chance to receive Special Backgrounds! These souvenir backgrounds will appear on a Pokémon’s summary page.
