The Pokémon GO: Bug Out event starts on Wednesday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. local time and ends on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event features the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Also, Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
Please note, you will need 50 Sizzlipede Candy to evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch.
Pokémon GO: Bug Out Event Bonus
Trainers participating in the event will have access to the following bonuses
- 2× XP when a Pokémon is caught with Nice Throws or better.
- +1 Candy when a Pokémon is caught with Nice Throws or better.
- Trainers level 31 and up will have an increased chance to receive Candy XL when a Pokémon is caught with Nice Throws or better
- Lure Modules used during the event will attract Sizzlipede.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
- If enough Pokémon are caught with help from a single Lure Module, additional Pokémon will appear near the lured PokéStop.
Wild Encounters
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the Pokémon GO: Bug Out event.
- Caterpie.
- Weedle.
- Wurmple.
- Nincada.
- Venipede
- Dwebble.
- Joltik
- Grubbin
- Dewpider
- Nymble
- Cutiefly, but will appear less frequently.
All the Pokémon in the wild can be shiny.
Raids
The following Pokémon will be available in their respective Raid Tiers during the Pokémon GO: Bug Out event.
- One-star Raids: Scyther, Nincada, and Sizzlipede.
- Three-star Raids: Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor.
- Five-star Raids: Heatran.
- Mega Raids: Mega Pinsir.
All the Pokémon in their respective raid tiers can be shiny except Sizzlipede.
