Pokémon GO Cyndaquil Community Day Classic: Tips & Tricks

June 2024 Pokémon GO Community Day Classic featuring Cyndaquil, the Fire Mouse Pokémon, is on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The event features Cyndaquil appearing more than usual in the wild with increased shiny odds of 1 in 25.

Legacy Attack/Move

During the event, you can fully evolve Cyndaquil into Typhlosion to get a Typhlosion that knows Blast Burn as a Charged Attack/Move. Blast Burn is an exclusive Fire-type Charged Attack that deals 110 damage in both Trainer Battles (PVP) and in Gyms and raids (PVE).

You will need 25 Candy to evolve Cyndaquil into Quilava, and 100 Candy to evolve Quilava into Typhlosion.

100% IV Cyndaquil

There are many possibilities to encounter a 100% IV Cyndaquil in the wild. You will need to know all the maximum CP for all the different Cyndaquil power-up levels. This varies for boosted weather and non-boosted weather Cyndaquil. You will need to catch as many as you can. The maximum CP a Cyndaquil can have during a boosted weather condition (Sunny) is 910 CP. This would be 840 CP in non-boosted weather conditions. These should be a guaranteed hundo.

Likewise, it is easier to know the CP of a 100% IV Cyndaquil encountered via completing Field Research. The CP of a 100% IV Cyndaquil from field research is 420 CP and a power-up level of 15.
