The Pokémon GO: Deep Depths event starts on Wednesday, March 19, at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event features the debut of Nickit and its evolution, Thievul. Also, Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Clauncher. However, this is not Shiny Clauncher’s first time in Pokémon GO.
Trainers can use 50 Nickit Candy to evolve Nickit, the Fox Pokémon into Thievul.

Pokémon GO: Deep Depths Event Bonus
Trainers participating in the event will have access to the following bonuses
- 1/2 (half) Egg hatch distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during this event.
- Increased chance to encountering Shiny Clauncher.
Wild Encounters
The following Pokémon will be available more frequently in the wild during the Pokémon GO: Deep Depths event.
- Clauncher.
- Murkrow.
- Sneasel.
- Corpish.
- Clamperl.
- Purrloin
- Female Frillish.
- Dwebble.
- Nickit. This Pokémon will appear less frequently.
All the Pokémon in the wild can be shiny except Nickit. Nickit is not currently available in its Shiny form.
Eggs
The following Pokémon will be available in 7 km Eggs during the Pokémon GO: Deep Depths event.
- Galarian Corsola.
- Pawniard.
- Clauncher.
- Nickit.
All can be shiny except Nickit.

Pokémon GO: Deep Depths event-themed Research

- Collection Challenges will be available. Completing the challenges will award Trainers with the following.

- Free Timed Research will be available. Completing this research will award Trainers with the following.
- Ten (10) Kubfu Candy.
- One (1) Mysterious Component.
- Encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
- 2x Stardust for catching Pokémon. This will be available after completing the Timed Research.

- Field Research Tasks will be available. Completing the research will award Trainers with the following.
- Encounter with event-themed Pokémon.
- Items such as Balls, Berries, etc.
- Paid Timed Research will be available for Trainers to purchase. For US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), Trainers can play through a separate Special Research. Completing this research will award you with the following.
- Two (2) Super Incubators.
- One (1) Star Piece.
- Encounters with Clauncher and Nickit.
