The Pokémon GO Fest 2026 in Chicago comes up next summer! Get ready to embark on a journey of a lifetime. Pokémon GO is celebrating ten years of community, discovery, and exploration.
Dates for the Pokémon GO Fest 2026 in Chicago
The GO Fest in Chicago will be held at the Chicago Grant Park in Chicago, USA, on the following dates.
- Event Dates: Friday, June 5 – Sunday, June 7, 2026
- Event Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time (i.e., Eastern Time)
Please note that the ticketed Citywide Gameplay will begin on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Tickets will be available for purchase through Niantic Live Events Ticketing.
More specifically, the Pokémon GO Fest: Copenhagen starts on Thursday, June 4, at 12:00 a.m. It ends on Sunday, June 7, at 11:59 p.m. local time.

Park and City Trainer Experience
Trainers will be required to select from two gameplay sessions to guide their gameplay throughout the day. All attendees will receive two separate Research stories as follows
- Timed Research during Citywide Gameplay
- Special Research during Park Gameplay
Morning Session
With a Morning Session ticket, Trainers will start their day off in the park and explore all the park has to offer. Between sessions, there will be an intermission without gameplay in the park to allow transit from the park to your preferred play location within the city. Trainers can begin the Citywide Gameplay portion of their experience as soon as they have left or are a little bit away from the park.

Then, in the afternoon, Trainers will begin the Citywide Gameplay portion of their experience! During the Citywide portion of your experience, you can enjoy event gameplay no matter where you are located within the city.
Afternoon Session
With an Afternoon Session ticket, Trainers will begin their day by enjoying event gameplay anywhere in the host city. During the intermission between Park sessions, Trainers can continue their Citywide Gameplay portion of their experience until they are near or in the park. Ticket-holding Trainers will not begin gameplay or complete Research until the listed times of their afternoon Park session.
Once gameplay begins at the listed time, Trainers will enjoy the Park Gameplay portion of their experience, enjoying all that the park has to offer.
All ticket holders are allowed to re-enter the event throughout their ticketed session. Only ticket holders during the listed times on their ticket will be able to participate in the Pokémon GO Fest gameplay experience and specialized elements.
City Explorer Tickets
City Explorer tickets will provide access to event-exclusive gameplay throughout the host city on the day listed on the ticket. This ticket only enables citywide gameplay for a single full event day. The Morning or Afternoon Park Experience is not included with this ticket. The Timed Research for your City Experience will be granted on the first day that you have a ticket to play in the city, and it will remain available until the final day of the in-person event.
Once you have a base ticket, you can purchase additional add-ons. The Citywide Gameplay add-on will give you additional days of city event play to extend the fun, and you can also purchase the Raid Lover or Egg-thusiast add-ons to play your way! The Raid Lover and Egg-thusiast add-ons are active every day of the in-person event.
Please note: You will not be able to purchase any ticket that includes the Park Experience if you purchase a City Explorer ticket. Tickets that include the Park Experience are only available while supplies last. No extra tickets will be available once the event has sold out.

Additional Citywide Gameplay Days
Extend the GO Fest fun and enjoy a city experience throughout Chicago on the extra event day—or days—of your choice! This add-on provides an additional day of the citywide gameplay experience that is available on your primary event day, with a few restrictions.
These add-ons only enable additional citywide gameplay. The following bonuses will be available from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time on your ticketed additional citywide gameplay days.
- An increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon
- An increased chance of catching Pokémon with a Premier Ball
- Special event-themed Eggs
- Up to 6 Special Trades per day
- 1/2 Stardust cost for all trades
- 1/2 Hatch Distance
- Receive 1.5× Candy for hatching Pokémon during ticketed citywide gameplay days
- Receive 1.5× Stardust for hatching Pokémon during ticketed citywide gameplay days

Chicago 2026 in-person GO Fest events will offer the Premier Access add-on. This add-on includes the following:
- Expedited entry to the Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store to keep you on the go.
- Entry to the Premier Access lounge, which features upgraded restrooms, portable charger kiosks with lockers, and seating to recharge yourself for your next adventure.
- An exclusive collectible item available for in-person pickup during your park session.
- Trainers will also obtain voucher codes for the following in-game items. The codes will be sent via email no later than Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
