The Pokémon Fossil Museum exhibition is making its North American debut at the Field Museum in Chicago, USA.
Starting on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CDT and ending on Friday, April 11, 2027, at 9:00 p.m. CDT, Pokémon enthusiasts can participate in this one-of-a-kind experience bringing together the worlds of Pokémon and paleontology.
Furthermore, Pokémon GO Trainers who visit the Field Museum in Chicago will have collaboration-themed features to look forward to, including the opportunity to encounter Excavator Pikachu for the first time in Pokémon GO.

The Pokémon GO event is from Friday, May 22, 2026, to Sunday, April 11, 2027.
The following will be available to Trainers near the Field Museum at no cost.
- Encounter Excavator Pikachu from collaboration-themed Timed Research and Field Research
- In-person raids with Excavator Pikachu and Mega Aerodactyl
- Fossil Pokémon such as Amaura, Anorith, Cranidos, Lileep, Omanyte, Kabuto, and Tyrunt will appear in the wild
- Event-themed stickers from spinning PokéStops
- Event-Themed Collection Challenge
- Take a few snapshots for a surprise encounter
Please note that this gameplay and bonuses will be available within the museum area during active event hours.
