Have you found yourself beating against time during Community Days (CDs) trying to catch everything, reaching maximum Pokêmon GO storage, searching for the Pokémon to quickly transfer, and still not missing a lot? Yes, I know that feeling of not having the control you want during CD.
However, there is a way to gain some control back during CD. That way is quickly mass-transferring all the Pokémon you do not need except those with PVP IVs, 3*, and perfect IVs.
What are PVP IVs?
PVP IVs is the short term for Player vs Player Individual Values. Every Pokémon in Pokémon GO has its IV, which varies from nundo (0 Attack, 0 Defense, and 0 HP) to hundo (15 Attack, 15 Defense, and 15 HP). PVP IVs are therefore the IVs that are recommended for Pokémon when using them in battle, most especially in the GO Battle League. Generally, these are 0-5 Attacks, 10-15 Defense, and 10-15 HP.
Search String to NOT transfer PVP IV Pokémon
Based on the description of PVP IVs above, you should have an idea of what the search string will look like.
Here is it…
0-1attack&3-4defense&3-4hp&age0
The 0-1attack gives you a list of Pokémon with 0-5 Attack; 3-4defense gives 10-15 Defense and 3-4hp give 10-15 HP. The & combines all of these and gives a list of Pokémon with all of the IVs. Note the age0, this gives you a list of Pokémon caught within the past 24 hours.
Now, you just need to type the search string to get the list of Pokémon. After which you need to favorite them.
To ensure you do not transfer 3* and perfect Pokémon, use the search string 3*,4*&age0 to get the list of 3* and 4* (perfect) Pokémon. You should favorite them as well.
Mass Transfer everything else caught within the past 24 hours
You can now search for 0*,1*,2*&age0 to mass transfer everything else.
You could do these periodically during the CD to keep control of your Pokémon GO storage space.
After the CD hours when spawns get fewer, you can use the extra 2 hours to look through the remaining Pokémon you have to see which ones you want to evolve (for the community day special attack move) and for which of the GO Battle Leagues (i.e. Great League, Ultra League, and Master League).
You can also save these search strings for future use so you don’t have to be typing them again. You can do this by typing the search string and having it on the list of your recent searches. Long press it for a few seconds for it to be listed on your favorite searches. Long press to have a pop-up (with the name “Manage Favorite Search”), click rename and set a nickname of your choice.
