Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event in Pokémon GO

The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event starts on Wednesday, April 16, at 10:00 a.m. local time and ends on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event features the debut of the Tinkatink and its Evolutions (i.e., Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton), other Pokémon and human characters from the animated series, and Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin.

Please note that Tinkatink is a Pokémon first discovered in the Paldea region. You can use 25 Tinkatink Candy to evolve Tinkatink into Tinkatuff, and 100 Tinkatink Candy to evolve Tinkatink into Tinkaton.

The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event Bonuses

Trainers participating in the event will have access to the following bonuses from the start till the end of the event.

  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently i.e., every 2 hours instead of every 6 hours.
  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
  • Increased chance to encountering Shiny Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat and Shiny Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin.
  • Surprise encounter with characters and Pokémon seen in Pokémon Horizons: The Series when you take a snapshot during the event!

Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event Wild Encounters

The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild.

  • Quagsire
  • Shuckle
  • Slugma
  • Nosepass
  • Snorunt
  • Sprigatito
  • Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin
  • Fuecoco
  • Quaxly
  • Pawmi
  • Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat (but less frequently in the wild). In addition, Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat encountered during the event will know the Charged Attack Volt Tackle. Volt Tackle is an Electric-type Attack that deals 90 power and decreases opponents’ Defense by one stage in Trainer Battles. In Gyms and Raids, it deals 90 power.

All the Pokémon can be shiny except Quagsire, Quaxly, and Pawmi.

Eggs

The following Pokémon will hatch from 7 km Eggs. The 7km Eggs must be the ones you receive via opening a Gift during the event

  • Elekid
  • Hatenna
  • Charcadet
  • Tinkatink

Only Elekid and Charcadet can be shiny. Also, Tinkatink will be available to hatch only from 10 km Eggs after the event ends.

Raids

The following Pokémon will be available in their respective raid tiers.

  • One-Star Raids: Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat, Chansey, and Rockruff.
  • Three-Star Raids: Charizard, Alolan Muk, Metagross, and Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin.
  • Other Pokémon will be available in the other raid tiers i.e. Five-Star, Mega, and Legendary Shadow Raids respectively. See April 2025 Pokémon GO Events

All Pokémon encounters from their respective raid tiers can be shiny except Alolan Muk and Metagross.

Event-themed Research

The following event-themed research will be available during the event.

  • Field Research Tasks will be available. Completing the event-themed research tasks will award Trainers with Stardust, and encounters with Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat.

  • Free Timed Research Tasks will be available. Completing the tasks will award Trainers with XP, Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

  • Paid Timed Research will be available for Trainers to purchase for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Completing the paid event-themed timed research will award Trainers with the following.
    • One (1) Incubators
    • An event-themed avatar pose
    • Encounters with Tinkatink
    • and more

Also, as a reminder, there will be PokéStop Showcases available during the event.
