Rage Fist is a Ghost-type charged attack in Pokémon GO. It is an exclusive attack of the Pokémon Primeape and its evolution, Annihilape. It makes its debut in Pokémon GO on November 10, 2024, as an exclusive attack. It can be learned via evolution during its debut. It can then only be learned by either Primeape or Annihilape after the debut by using an Elite Charged TM.
Primeape is a Fighting-type Pokémon that can learn Rage Fist when evolved from Mankey during certain events like a Mankey Community Day. However, when Primeape is evolved it turns into Annihilape, a Fighting- and Ghost-type Pokémon. The Annihilape can also learn Rage Fist during such events.
Using Rage Fist in Gyms and Raid Battles (i.e., PVE)
A Primeape or Annihilape using the exclusive charged attack in either gym battles or raid battles deals 100 damage to its opponent when the charged attack is used. It however costs 50 energy. Since it costs 50 energy, its Damage per Energy is 2 DPE. Its Damage per Second is 33.33 DPS.
Using Rage Fist in Trainer Battles (i.e., PVP)
A Primeape or Annihilape using this exclusive attack in trainer battles deals 50 damage to its opponent when the charged attack is used. It costs 35 energy. However, it increases the damage of the attack by one stage (i.e., by 25%) after either Primeape or Annihilape is hit by an opponent.
Since it costs 35 energy, its Damage per Energy is 1.43 DPE. Its Damage per Second is also 1.43 DPS. It is important to note that it takes 6 Fast Attack turns to charge up Rage Fist Charged Attack.
Rage Fist’s effectiveness against other Pokémon Types
As a Ghost-type attack, it is effective against the following attacks
- 63% strong against Poison-, and Rock-type
- 39% strong against Bug-, Fighting-, and Normal type
- 160% weak against Fairy-, Flying, Ghost, and Psychic-type.
Things to know about Rage Fist
- The attack is an upgrade for both Primeape and Annihilape. Either Pokémon having this Charged Attack will rank them higher than they were on the Fighting- and Ghost-type Pokémon ranking list.
- The attack could make Annihilape a META Pokémon in the Great League like it was before Counter was nerfed.
- In Trainer battles, the attack is better on a non-shadow Annihilape because of the bulk Annihilape has. However, Shadow Annihilape with the charged attack is preferred in Gym and Raid battles.
