Pokémon Type of the Week: Rock

For the week of July 29th to August 4th, 2023, I caught 1,601 Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Most of which are of the Rock-type Pokémon. Although there are a lot of double-typing Pokémon in Pokémon GO, I caught a total of 886 Pokémon which share the Rock-type with other Pokémon types.

The huge number of Rock-type Pokémon caught this week is a result of the Adventure Week Event in Pokémon GO which featured a lot of Rock-type Pokémon. These were Pokémon such as Mega Tyranitar (a Rock- and Dark-type Pokémon), Omanyte (a Rock- and Water-type Pokémon), Kabuto (a Rock- and Water-type Pokémon), Aerodactyl (a Rock- and Flying-type Pokémon), Lileep (a Rock- and Grass-type Pokémon), Anorith (a Rock- and Bug-type Pokémon), Cranidos (a Rock-type Pokémon), Shieldon (a Rock- and Steel-type Pokémon), Tirtouga (a Rock- and Water-type Pokémon), Archen (a Rock- and Flying-type Pokémon), Tyrunt (a Rock- and Dragon-type Pokémon), and Amaura (a Rock- and Ice-type Pokémon).
