Shadow Heatran is the featured Shadow Legendary Pokémon in Five-Star Shadow Raids during December 2025. It was initially only obtainable by defeating Giovanni during one of the past Team GO Rocket Takeover events.
Now, all Trainers can encounter Shadow Heatran by defeating it in Five-Star Shadow Raids. Likewise, for the first time in Pokémon GO, Trainers can encounter Shiny Shadow Heatran if lucky. The shiny chance is 1 in 20.

Heatran is a Legendary Fire- and Steel-type Pokémon. It is said that Heatran dwells in volcanic caves. Heatran’s blood boils like magma as it circulates through its body.
Shadow Heatran is currently the Number 3 best Fire-type Attacker and the Number 1 non-mega best Fire-type Attacker in Pokémon GO.

Any Heatran caught from Raids with the following CP is a hundo – a perfect 100% Individual Value Shadow Pokémon.

- 2145 in other weather conditions in-game.
Finally, Shadow Heatran can be defeated with a minimum of 3 Trainers who use Shadow Shard and Party Power during the raids.
