The Shadow Raikou Raid Day in Pokémon GO is on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can unite to battle Shadow Raikou in Five-Star Shadow raids. Upon completing the raid, each Trainer will encounter Shadow Raikou. If lucky, Trainers may encounter Shiny Shadow Raikou.

Shadow Raikou Raid Day in Pokémon GO Event Ticket

All Trainers will be able to participate in Shadow Raikou raids wherever they are. However, if a Trainer wants added benefits, they can purchase the event ticket for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Purchasing a ticket that grants the following bonuses.

Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
50% more XP from Raid Battles
2× Stardust from Raid Battles

These bonuses will be effective on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

General Event Bonuses

The following bonuses will be available whether you bought the event ticket or not.

Up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of six).
Increased chance of encountering Shiny Raikou from Shadow Raids.
The Remote Raid limit will increase to 20 from Friday, January 23, at 4:00 p.m. to Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. PST.
