The Steel Skyline Event in Pokèmon GO is scheduled to start on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will continue until Tuesday, October 7, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is the last event in September 2025 and it features the debut of Dynamax Duraludon in Pokèmon GO.
Steel Skyline Event in Pokèmon Debut
Dynamax Duraludon will make its debut in Four-star Max Battles. Trainers who successfully completes the battle will have the opportunity to catch Dynamax Duraludon which can be shiny. You may encounter a Shiny Dynamax Duraludon as a max battle completion encounter.
Other Pokèmon will be featured in different tiers of max battles. They are as follows.
- One-Star Max Battles: Dynamax Drilbur and Dynamax Rookidee
- Three-Star Max Battles: Dynamax Beldum
In addition, there are other activities planned for the Steel Skyline event. They are as follows.

Global Challenges
Trainers can work together around the world to complete Field Research tasks and throwing-based challenges. Once a challenge is completed, special bonuses will be unlocked for the remainder of the event. There would be different challenges. The next challenge will begin as soon as the previous challenge is completed.
The following rewards will be available for each level of global challenge completion.
- Level 1 Reward
- Additional Candy for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws
- Level 2 Rewards
- Additional 5,000 XP from winning raids
- Level 3 Rewards
- One guaranteed Rare Candy XL from winning in-person Max Battles
Please note that these rewards stacks with the ongoing rewards from the XP Celebration event.
Steel Skyline Event Wild Encounters
Alolan Diglett, Magnemite, Grimer, Alolan Grimer, Porygon, Aron, Bronzor, Trubbish, Klink, Axew, and Togedemaru will appear more frequently in the wild. While Galarian Meowth, Skarmory, and Mawile will appear less frequently in the wild. All these wild encounters can be shiny.
Steel Skyline Event Research
The following research will be available during the event.
- Field Research Task and Rewards. Completing these Field Research tasks will lead to encounters with event-themed Pokémon. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter Dynamax Duraludon.
- Timed Research and Rewards. Completing the Timed Research tasks will lead to rewards such as, One Magnetic Lure Module, XP, Stardust, encounters with event-themed Pokémon, and more!
- Paid Timed Research. For US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research. Completing this Timed Research will grant you rewards including Max Particles, Stardust, encounter with Dynamax Duraludon, and more!
