The Tales of Transformation GO Battle League begins on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). At the start of the new GO Battle League Season, your GO Battle League rank will be reset. Your rewards for the previous GO Battle League Season will be available on the Battle screen. However, rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.
Attack nerfs and buffs
Like every other Season, some attacks’ effectiveness are weakened while some other attacks are improved. This is done to create a better balance in the GO Battle League. The result of this is that most of the top Pokémon may become useless in the new GO Battle League’s meta.
The list below shows the attacks that are either nerfed or buffed.
Nerfed Attack for the Tales of Transformation GO Battle League
- Leafage: a grass-type fast attack with energy generation increased
- Scorching Sands: a ground-type charged attack with decreased chance to lower the opposing Pokémon’s attack
- Steel Wing: a steel-type fast attack with energy generation decreased
Buffed Attack for the Tales of Transformation GO Battle League
- Confusion: a psychic-type fast attack with energy generation increased.
- Peck: a flying-type fast attack with energy generation increased
- Body Slam: a normal-type charged attack with damage increased from 50 to 55
- Weather Ball: a normal-type charged attack with damage increased from 55 to 60
- Dragon Pulse: a dragon-type charged attack with energy cost decreased
- Drill Peck: a flying-type charged attack with damage increased from 65 to 70.

- Weather Ball: a fire-type charged attack with damage increased from 55 to 60
- Gyro Ball: a steel-type charged attack with energy cost decreased
- Rock Slide: a rock-type charged attack with damage increased from 65 to 75

- Volt Switch: an electric-type fast attack with damage increased from 12 to 14
- Water Pulse: a water-type attack with energy cost decreased
- Weather Ball: a water-type charged attack with damage increased from 55 to 60
- Weather Ball: an Ice-type charged attack with damage increased from 55 to 60
Reworked Attacks
- Charm: a fairy-type fast attack with damage decreased from 15 to 13, and energy generation increased.
- Dragon Breath: a dragon-type fast attack with energy generation increased and damage decreased from 4 to 3.
- Dragon Tail: a dragon-type fast attack with energy generation increased and damage decreased from 13 to 9.
- Ember: a fire-type fast attack with energy generation increased and damage decreased from 7 to 4.
- Aura Sphere: a fighting-type charged attack with damage decreased from 100 to 80, and energy cost decreased.
- Breaking Swipe: a dragon-type charged attack with energy cost increased but with a chance to decrease the opposing Pokémon’s attack
- Dragon Claw: a dragon-type charged attack with energy cost increased but with a damage increased from 50 to 80.
- Aerial Ace: a flying-type charged attack with energy cost increased but with damage increased from 55 to 60.
- Sky Attack: a flying-type charged attack with energy cost decreased but with damage decreased from 85 to 75.
- Seed Bomb: a grass-type charged attack with energy cost decreased but with damage decreased from 65 to 55.

What Does the Nerfs and Buffs mean for the Tales of Transformation GO Battle League?
In simple terms, it means the GO Battle League’s meta (Most Effective Tactics Available) will be rebalanced. The some of the most effective Pokémon is the previous Season will not be effective in the new Season.
