The GO Pass: Earn Rewards in Pokémon GO

The GO Pass is a new way to earn rewards in Pokémon GO. This new feature will make its debut in Pokémon GO at the start of April 2025. Trainers in certain regions of the world will be the first to test the new feature.

The GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe for April 2025 will be available for a limited period. This is from Tuesday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Likewise, trainers will be able to access either or both of the passes at the start of April 2025.

What is the GO Pass in Pokémon GO?

The GO Pass is a free progression track with different tasks to complete. The track and tasks are available for a specified period i.e. until Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time. In addition, you would be collecting GO Points to increase your rank to earn rewards. Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

What is the GO Pass Deluxe in Pokémon GO?

The GO Pass Deluxe is a paid version of GO Pass. It will be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression. It costs $7.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency).

Please note: This feature is currently being tested. Some Trainers in certain regions will automatically receive GO Pass: April at no cost on Tuesday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Both the free and paid pass and their rewards can only be earned and claimed in the parts of the world that are eligible for the test.

GO Pass Featured Pokémon and Rewards

Completing the free Pass Tasks and ranking up will reward Trainers with the following.

  • Encounters with Xerneas and other Pokémon!
  • Stardust
  • XP
  • Poké Balls
  • Candy
  • And even more goodies!

Trainers who upgrade to the paid Pass (i.e. the Deluxe version) will also earn the following rewards.

  • A Lucky Trinket
  • Premium Battle Passes
  • Incense
  • a Lucky Egg
  • an Incubator
  • Lure Modules
  • Candy XL
  • Additional encounters
  • And even more goodies!

In addition, reaching certain tiers through the progression track ranks will reward trainers with the following bonuses.

  • Tier 1: 2x Daily Adventure Incense duration
  • Tier 2: 2x XP and Stardust from completing Researches
  • Tier 3: 2x XP and Stardust from hatching Eggs

Differences in Rewards will be available during the testing period

In other to properly test the new reward system before the global launch, trainers in the testing regions will notice differences in rewards. The differences are as follows.

  • An additional encounter on certain ranks of the Deluxe version
  • Modified item rewards on certain ranks of the Deluxe version
  • Stickers as a reward on certain ranks of the free GO Pass and Deluxe version
  • PokéCoins as a reward on certain ranks of the GO Pass
  • Fewer overall ranks of the free and Deluxe versions

In conclusion, the Lucky Trinket from the Deluxe version will be available as a reward after completing all the required ranks. You are to claim the Lucky Trinket and all other rewards before they disappear on Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Likewise, you have to use the Lucky Trinket before Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time, regardless of when you claimed it.
