The Gigantamax Pikachu Max Battle Day in Pokémon GO is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The event features the debut of Gigantamax Pikachu in Pokémon GO via Power Spots. Trainers will be able to battle Gigantamax Pikachu in six-star Max Battles.
Gigantamax Pikachu Max Battle Day
Trainers will be able to encounter Gigantamax Pikachu after completing a Max Battle featuring Gigantamax Pikachu. It is important to note that Gigantamax Pikachu caught from Max Battle encounters will be unable to evolve. In addition, if you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Gigantamax Pikachu.

Recommended Counters against Gigantamax Pikachu
Gigantamax Pikachu is an electric-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. As an electric-type Poké, it is extremely weak to Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon with Ground-type moves/attacks.
Although, you will need to be careful because Gigantamax Pikachu can learn Surf, a water-type attack that deals super-effective damage to Ground-type Pokémon. With that in mind, you will want to use your Ground-type attackers ONLY during the Dynamaxing/Gigantamaxing phase of the Max Battle.

- Up to four Special Trades for the day.
- From March 27 at 5:00 p.m. to March 28 at 8:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −8), the daily Remote Raid limit will increase from 10 to 20.
