Pawniard Community Day Featured Attack

If you evolve your Bisharp (Pawniard’s evolution) into Kingambit during the Pawniard Community Day or up to four hours afterward (by 9:00 p.m. local time), your evolved Kingambit will learn the exclusive Dark-type Charged Attack Kowtow Cleave.

Kowtow Cleave is a Charged Attack that deals 75 power in Trainer Battles and 85 power in Gyms and Raids. It is a massive asset for Dark-type attackers, offering high-pressure damage output at a rapid pace. Securing this move without needing an Elite Fast TM later is a priority for anyone looking to build out their PvP or PvE arsenals.

If you enjoy forming competitive teams for the GO Battle League, make sure you secure at least one or two solid Great League IV Kingambit (low Attack, high Defense, and high HP) with this exclusive move. The rank 1 Kingambit for Great League, Ultra League, and Master League has the following IV spread.

  • Great League: 0-15-13
  • Ultra League:  0-15-10
  • Master League: 15-15-15 (Max stats required to compete at the highest CP tier).

Pro Tips to Dominate Pawniard Community Day

  1. Maximize Candy with Mega Evolutions: Bring a Dark-type or Steel-type Mega Evolution such as Mega Tyranitar, Mega Houndoom, Mega Gyarados, Mega Scizor, Mega Steelix, Mega Sableye, or Mega Malamar to at least high or max level. Having it active during catches will net you extra candy bonus and a boosted chance at Candy XL to power up your Kingambit.

  2. Take Advantage of the Reduced Evolution Window: Normally, evolving Bisharp into Kingambit requires defeating 15 Dark- or Steel-type Raid Bosses with Bisharp as your buddy. During the event window (and up to 9:00 p.m. local time), this requirement is temporarily reduced to defeating just 1 Raid Boss. Knock out a quick tier-1 raid early in the day so you are primed and ready to evolve.

  3. Time Your Lures Correctly: Do not activate your Lures before 2:00 PM, as pre-existing lures will only last 30 minutes and block the boosted event spawns. Wait for the clock to strike 2:00 p.m. local time so you can enjoy full 1-hour durations with increased Shiny and Special Background chances.

  4. Clear Field Research Slots: Spin PokéStops during the event for themed tasks, but make sure you have open slots so you don’t miss out on valuable items and encounter rewards.

  5. Prep Your Inventory: Stock up on Ultra Balls, Pinap Berries, and clear out Pokémon storage space ahead of time so you aren’t forced to pause your grind mid-event.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 21, charge up your backup batteries, and get ready to catch every Sharp Blade Pokémon in sight!
