Pokémon GO Weekly Stats Comparison (Part 8)

Welcome to Part 8 of my Pokémon GO weekly stats comparison. Every week of Pokémon GO brings another chance to catch more Pokémon, catch shinies, find those elusive perfect IV Pokémon, win more raids, explore further, increase your Stardust count, and make progress toward your next goals.

For this week’s comparison, we look at two consecutive seven-day periods: Tuesday, October 6 to Monday, October 12, 2026, and Tuesday, October 13 to Monday, October 19, 2026. The goal is simple: see how my gameplay activity changed from one week to the next and identify the areas where the biggest improvements happened.

If you missed the seventh part and you want to check it out, see Pokémon GO Weekly Stats Comparison (Part 7).

Let’s take a closer look at the Weekly Stats Comparison.

Pokémon GO Weekly Stats Comparison: Analytical Summary

Exploration and Movement Efficiency

My Physical engagement saw a massive boost this week as exploration picked up significantly. Distance walked increased by +68.68% (jumping from 64.5 km up to 108.8 km), and PokéStop visits rose by +36.30% (from 810 to 1,104), reflecting a much higher volume of active outdoor gameplay compared to the previous week. The PokéStop visits increased as a result of looking for Bramblin’s encounter field research tasks during the Buddy Trek: Fall Marathon 2026 event.

Catching and Collector Highlights

Catching activity remained strong and steady, with Pokémon caught increasing by +7.34% (from 2,411 to 2,588). High-tier collector metrics showed a mixed performance: hundo catches improved by +11.11% (9 up to 10), while shiny encounters dipped by -24.14% (29 down to 22). However, hatching stats showed incredible spikes in rare finds, including 12 shiny hatches up from zero. The 12 hatched shiny Pokémon were a result of the Sandile Hatch Day 2026. The hatch day also led to a huge increase in my distance walked this week.

The shinies and hundos are as follows.

  • 22 Shiny: 4 Electrike (wild). 1 Stufful (wild). 1 Rattata (wild). 12 Sandile (hatched). 1 Growlithe (wild). 1 2026 Worlds Golden Gate Bridge background Pikachu (traded). 1 Machop (wild). 1 Minun (wild)
  • 10 Hundo: 3 Doduo (wild). 3 Blitzle (wild). 1 White Squawkabilly (wild). 1 Diglett (wild). 1 Shiny Stufful (wild). 1 Galarian Yamask (wild).

Combat & In-Game Engagement

In-game combat engagement shifted following previous week. Team GO Rocket member defeats increased slightly by +7.41% (54 up to 58). Conversely, raid wins experienced a sharp decline of -71.43% (dropping from 28 down to 8 wins), while GO Battle League wins ticked up by +6.25% (16 to 17) as PvP activity remained steady.

Quests and Hatching

Field Research task completions decreased slightly by -5.71% (105 down to 99). On the other hand, egg hatching exploded due to increased movement, surging by +380.95% (from 21 up to 101 eggs hatched).

Although, I explored and found more Field Rsearch tasks, I di not complete them because the enconters to get as rewards were not want I went looking for.

Resource Yield

Driven by higher catch counts and increased activity, Stardust earned increased by +50.83% (jumping from 443,254 to 668,564). Meanwhile, XP earned decreased by -6.87% (landing at 3,828,538 compared to 4,110,742 the previous week).

📈 What the Weekly Stats Comparison Numbers Tell Us

So, was this actually a better Pokémon GO week?

Looking closely at what the numbers tell us, the answer is a fascinating look at quality over quantity. While raw volume metrics like raid wins and XP decreased, exploration, hatching stats, and Stardust earnings skyrocketed. This proves my focus on the hatch day and active exploratio yielded incredible collector rewards.

Ultimately, the numbers prove that targeting high-yield events beats mindless grinding every time.

🎯 Weekly Stats Comparison and Goals for Next Week

Here are the standout percentage improvements from the week:

1. 🥇 Eggs Hatched: +380.95%
2. 🥈 Distance Walked: +68.68%
3. 🥉 Stardust Earned: +50.83%

The question now is whether next week’s numbers can continue this momentum. My goal is to maintain strong resource efficiency and my catch and raid volumes.

Looking Ahead to Part 9: With the upcoming event announcements on the horizon, next week’s stats will likely see a steady increase on all stats. Check back for part 9 of my Weekly Stats Comparison.
