This is the second installment of my Pokémon GO weekly stats comparison. Every week of Pokémon GO means another opportunity to catch more Pokémon, catch shinies, find those elusive perfect IV Pokémon, win more raids, explore further, improve Stardust count, and make progress toward your next goals.
For this week’s comparison, we look at two consecutive seven-day periods: Tuesday, August 25 to Monday, August 31, 2026, and Tuesday, September 1 to Monday, September 7, 2026. The goal is simple: see how my gameplay activity changed from one week to the next and identify the areas where the biggest improvements happened.
If you missed the first part and you want to check it out, see Pokémon GO Weekly Stats Comparison (Part 1).
Let’s take a closer look at the numbers for the second part.
⚡ Quick Highlights:
Biggest Win: Raids won jumped by +130%.
Rarest Find: Additional Hundo caught (3 vs. 2 last week).
Biggest Drop: PokéStops visited fell by 14.02%.
📊 Weekly Stats at a Glance
| Statistic | August 25–31 | Sep 1–7 | % Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pokémon Caught | 2,011 | 2,081 | +3.48% |
| Shiny Pokémon | 7 | 7 | 0.00% |
| Hundo Pokémon | 2 | 3 | +50.00% |

| PokéStops Visited | 1,077 | 926 | -14.02% |
| Stardust Earned | 185,845 | 217,896 | +17.25% |
| XP Earned | 2,626,300 | 5,370,755 | +104.50% |
The numbers point toward a noticeably more active week, except for exploration activities. The biggest improvement came from XP earned, which increased by 104.50%. Compared to last week, Stardust earned jumped by 17.25%. Raid activity also increased by 130%. This is expected due to the Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale during the week of September 1 to 7, 2026.
Even the smallest improvement, Pokémon Caught, still represented a healthy 3.48% increase. The hundo statistics had a 50% increase, although it is just an increase by 1 hundo from the previous week. My shiny luck was meh (as usual). This time, there is no difference in the amount of shiny as compared to the previous week.
Overall, this was a week of positive movement across the board. Except for the decrease in distance walked and the PokéStops activities.
🐾 Pokémon Caught Weekly Stats Comparison
The number of Pokémon caught increased from 2,011 to 2,081, representing a 3.48% increase.
That’s an additional 70 Pokémon caught compared with the previous week.
A higher catch total can be influenced by several factors, including increased time spent playing, favorable wild spawns, events, Spotlight Hours, Incense, Lures, or simply spending more time exploring areas with high PokéStop density.
Based on the 70 extra Pokémon caught, it is obvious that I didn’t change anything about things that can influence catch total. I have been playing the same way consistently over the past weeks.
✨ Shiny Catches for the Weekly Stats Comparison
Catching shinies is always a fun experience in Pokémon GO. The surprise that comes with tapping on a Pokémon and se it sparkle is always good. However, when you start comparing your shiny catches, you find out that it is no fun.
Shiny catches remained the same over the weeks, staying at 7 each.
I did not shiny hunt this previous week. Most importantly, I do not shiny hunt Pokémon. I leave that to luck. However, I do shiny hunt raids only if a costumed Pikachu is in raids.
These are the 7 shiny Pokémon caught.
- Shiny Reshiram, from remote trade on September 2.
- Shiny Kyurem, from remote trade on September 3.
- Shiny Chespin, caught on September 3 in the wild.
- Shiny Mewtwo, caught on September 5 from a remote raid.
- Shiny Reshiram, from remote trade on September 5.
- Shiny Mewtwo with Mega Pokémon background, caught on September 6 from a remote raid.
- Shiny Bergmite, caught on September 6 in the wild.
💯 Hundo Caught for the Weekly Stats Comparison
Now for the statistic every collector loves to see: Hundos.
A “Hundo” is the community term for a Pokémon with perfect 15/15/15 Individual Values (IVs). In Pokémon GO’s appraisal system, a perfect Pokémon receives a four-star appraisal.
This week, the number of Hundos caught increased from 2 to 3. That’s one additional perfect Pokémon and a huge 50% increase.
These are the 3 hundo Pokémon caught.
- Hundo Dratini, caught September 3 in the wild.
- Hundo Chesnaught, caught on September 5 from the GO Fest Mega Finale GO Pass.
- Hundo Panpour, caught on September 7 in the wild.
⚔️ Raid Performance Weekly Stats Comparison
Raid activity also moved significantly higher.
The number of raids won increased from 30 to 69, representing a 130% increase. That’s 39 additional raid victories. The increase suggests that raiding played a major role in this week’s gameplay compared with the previous week.
More raid participation can also contribute to additional XP, Pokémon encounters, Candy, and opportunities to hunt for high-IV or shiny raid bosses. I’ll see if I can increase my raiding this coming week.
🚶 Walking & Exploration Weekly Stats Comparison
Pokémon GO is built around exploration, and the walking statistics show another positive trend.
My distance walked decreased from 57.0 km to 52.6 km, a downgrade of 7.72%. That represents a decrease of 4.4 kilometers traveled during the week.
PokéStop activity also decreased, with visits dropping from 1,077 to 926. That’s a 14.02% decrease. This is a decrease of 151 PokéStops visits.
💰 Stardust Weekly Stats Comparison
Stardust is one of the most valuable resources in Pokémon GO. Whether you’re powering up a favorite Pokémon, unlocking a second Charged Attack, building a competitive PvP roster, or preparing a Legendary for battle, Stardust can disappear quickly.
This week, the Stardust earned grew from 185,845 to 217,896, representing a +17.25% change. That’s a gain of 32,051 Stardust.
Catching more Pokémon naturally provides more opportunities to accumulate Stardust, while other gameplay activities can contribute as well.
⭐ XP & Level Progress Weekly Stats Comparison
XP earned followed an upward trend.
Weekly XP gains increased from 2,626,300 to 5,370,755. An increase of +104.50%
That’s an additional 2,744,455 XP compared with the previous week.
The increase reflects the combination of more Pokémon catches, more raids, and other XP-generating activities like Friendship level-ups, opening and sending gifts, and evolving Pokémon. It is also influenced by the use of Lucky Egg, which grants 2x XP bonus.
📈 What the Weekly Stats Comparison Numbers Tell Us
So, was this actually a better Pokémon GO week?
Based on these statistics, yes.
Every major tracked statistic increased compared with the previous seven-day period. The increase in Pokémon caught shows more catching activity, while the rise in raids indicates more participation in battle content.
Perhaps the most interesting combination is the increase in both raids won and XP earned. Doing 130% more raids while earning 104.5% more XP suggests that increased raiding translated into stronger overall progression.
And then there are the hundos.
A 50% increase makes hundo collection one of the success stories of the week.
🎯 Weekly Stats Comparison and Goals for Next Week
Here’s how the statistics ranked by percentage improvement:
- 🥇 Riads won: +130.0%
- 🥈 XP Earned: +104.5%
- 🥉 Hundo Pokémon: +50.0%
The question now is whether next week’s numbers can continue the upward trend.
There’s only one way to find out.
