Welcome to Part 7 of my Pokémon GO weekly stats comparison. Every week of Pokémon GO brings another chance to catch more Pokémon, catch shinies, find those elusive perfect IV Pokémon, win more raids, explore further, increase your Stardust count, and make progress toward your next goals.
For this week’s comparison, we look at two consecutive seven-day periods: Tuesday, September 29 to Monday, October 5, 2026, and Tuesday, October 6 to Monday, October 12, 2026. The goal is simple: see how my gameplay activity changed from one week to the next and identify the areas where the biggest improvements happened.
If you missed the sixth part and you want to check it out, see Pokémon GO Weekly Stats Comparison (Part 6).

Pokémon GO Weekly Stats Comparison: Analytical Summary
Exploration and Movement Efficiency
My physical engagement decreased this week as the events cooled down. Distance walked decreased by 28.50% (dropping from 90.2 km to 64.5 km), and PokéStop visits dropped by -33.82% (from 1,224 to 810), indicating a lower volume of playing outdoors compared to the previous week’s heavy harvest festival 2026 grinding.
Catching and Collector Highlights
Catching activity decreased slightly with 2,411 Pokémon caught (-7.52%). However, high-tier collector metrics showed incredible spikes: shiny encounters more than doubled with a 123.08% increase (29 shinies up from 13), while perfect IV (hundo) finds improved by 80.00% (9 hundos up from 5).
The shinies and hundos are as follows.
- Shiny: 1 Stunfisk (wild), 1 Astronaut Pikachu, 1 Elgyem (wild), 23 Zorua (wild). 1 Zorua (field research), 1 Mareep (wild), and 1 Rayquaza (traded)
- Hundo: 1 Roselia (wild), 1 Hisuian Arcanine (wild), 1 Lotad (wild), 1 Honedge (hatched), 1 Hisuian Growlithe (wild), 1 Tauros (wild), 1 Mawile, 1 Lechonk, and 1 Exeggcute (wild)
Combat & In-Game Engagement
Team GO Rocket members’ battle saw a steep decline of 83.54%, dropping from 328 down to 54 defeated after the rocket takeover event wrapped up. Conversely, raid success jumped significantly by 100.00% (28 wins up from 14). GO Battle League performance increased slightly with +23.08% (16 wins up from 13), showing a return to some PvP activity.
The increase in raid success was driven by active raid scheduling, while the drop in Rocket battles reflects the post-event cooldown.
Quests and Hatching
Field Research completions decreased slightly by 16.00%* (105 tasks down from 125), and egg hatching saw a decrease with 21 eggs hatched (-38.24%*), including 0 shiny hatches.
The increase in Field Research is a result search for more hundos and shinies from completing the Harvest 2026 event-based Field Research tasks.
Resource Yield
In line with the shifts in active gameplay mechanics, Stardust earned adjusted to *443,254 (-37.43%), while total XP experienced a decrease of *-18.00%, landing at 4,110,742.
📈 What the Weekly Stats Comparison Numbers Tell Us
So, was this actually a better Pokémon GO week?
Looking closely at what the numbers tell us, the answer is a fascinating look at quality over quantity. While raw volume metrics like catches, Stardust, and XP decreased, shiny and hundo rates skyrocketed, proving that specialized focus can yield incredible collector rewards even during slower weeks.
Ultimately, the numbers prove that targeting high-yield events and focusing on active exploration beats mindless grinding every time.
🎯 Weekly Stats Comparison and Goals for Next Week
Here are the standout percentage improvements from the week:
1. 🥇 Shiny Pokémon Encounters: +123.08%
2. 🥈 Raid Wins: +100.00%
3. 🥉 Hundo Caught: +80.00%
The question now is whether next week’s numbers can continue this momentum. My goal is to maintain strong resource efficiency and my catch and raid volumes.
