PokéXciting times are coming soon. These are a series of events to celebrate the Pokémon 30th Anniversary. The events will celebrate three decades of adventure, discovery, and friendship. Get ready for a two-day celebration coming to various vibrant cities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Whether you’re a seasoned Trainer or a newcomer, there’s something for everyone. The celebrations will feature thrilling real-world activities at event locations. These celebrations will also be available to Pokémon GO Trainers across several regions. Trainers can also look forward to exclusive in-game content in Pokémon GO.
PokéXciting Event Schedule
The PokéXciting celebrations will be stopping in the following locations during the specified dates. Expect massive city-wide activities in a city near you.
- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Saturday, September 12, to Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the KLCC Park.
- Taipei, Taiwan: Saturday, October 10, to Sunday, October 11, 2026, at select areas of Xinyi District excluding mountainous regions.
- Singapore: Saturday, November 7, to Sunday, November 8, 2026. The event is available citywide.
- Manila, Philippines: Saturday, January 23, to Sunday, January 24, 2027, at the SM Mall of Asia surroundings.
- Bangkok, Thailand: Saturday, February 13, to Sunday, February 14, 2026. Gameplay area yet to be announced.

PokéXciting celebrations in Pokémon GO
There will be event-limited gameplay featuring special Pokémon encounters and bonuses in Pokémon GO! For the first time ever, Trainers will have the chance to encounter PokéXciting! Pikachu.
What makes this variant truly special are its Region-Exclusive Colors. Each city on the tour will feature a version of PokéXciting! Pikachu wearing a unique costume inspired by that local region’s culture and aesthetic. This means you will want to trade, travel, or connect with international friends to collect them all!
Even better? The specific regional variant of PokéXciting! Pikachu will continue to spawn as a wild encounter in its respective city for one full month after the local event concludes, giving latecomers plenty of time to hunt down that elusive Shiny.

While exploring the event venue, open up Pokémon GO and look for designated PokéStops to collect stamps. Once you gather five stamps, you will earn an encounter with a PokéXciting! Pikachu that comes with a special Location Background!

2. Timed and Field Research
Free Timed Research opportunities will be available to all participants, offering rewarding progression paths that grant encounters with PokéXciting! Pikachu, Premium Battle Passes, event stickers, and more. Complemented by event-themed Field Research tasks, you will never run out of objectives to complete.
Wild Encounters, Lures, and Incense Spawns
The spawn pools for this anniversary party are heavily curated to fit a celebratory theme, featuring fan favorites decked out in party gear alongside region-spanning generations:
