The Pokémon GO 10th Anniversary Party is a time to celebrate a decade of the Pokémon GO game. There will be in-game activities geared towards Pokémon debut, event bonuses, wild encounters, paid timed research, featured attacks, and more.
Pokémon GO 10th Anniversary Party is scheduled to start on Saturday, July 4, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The party will continue until Monday, July 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The Pokémon GO 10th Anniversary Party is a celebration of a decade of adventures, friendships, and unforgettable moments shared by Trainers around the world. With event-exclusive bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, themed research tasks, and exciting rewards, this milestone event offers something for both longtime players and newcomers alike.
Pokémon Debut
Gimmighoul, holding a 10th anniversary coin, will make its debut in Pokémon GO at the start of the event. Trainers will be able to encounter this Gimmighoul near PokéStops lured with a Golden Lure Module. Likewise, it can be encountered when you use the Coin Bag item.
Furthermore, you can still encounter Gimmighoul holding a 10th anniversary coin until Friday, July 31, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
Gimmighould encountered can be a Shiny one if you are lucky.
Additionally, you may get Gimmighoul Coins from the Golden Lure Module and opening the Coin Bag. You need 999 Gimmighoul Coins for each Gimmighoul evolution into Gholdengo. However, Gimmighoul encountered during this event will not be able to evolve.

Pokémon GO 10th Anniversary Party Event Bonuses
The following bonuses will be available during the event.
- 4× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 4× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Increased shiny chance for the event-themed Pokémon appearing in the wild.
- Gimmighoul holding a 10th anniversary coin may have a Special Background.
- You may encounter Shiny Gimmighoul when you use a Coin Bag during this event.
Remember, you may encounter Gimmighoul with a Special Background or a Shiny one until Friday, July 31, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
Featured Attacks during the Pokémon GO 10th Anniversary Party
The following attacks will be available after evolving the following Pokémon.
- Venuasaur with Charged Attack Frenzy Plant when you evolve Ivysaur (Bulbasaur’s Evolution).
- Charizard with Charged Attack Blast Burn when you evolve Charmeleon (Charmander’s Evolution).
- Blastoise with Charged Attack Hydro Cannon when you evolve Wartortle (Squirtle’s Evolution).

Wild Encounters
Trainers may encounter event-themed Pokémon such as Pikachu wearing a cake hat, Bulbasaur wearing a party hat, Charmander wearing a party hat, Squirtle wearing a party hat, Eevee wearing a party hat, and Wurmple wearing a party hat.
Field Research Tasks
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. You can get these tasks from spinning PokéStops. Complete the tasks to earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon. More details about the tasks soon.
Paid Timed Research
You can purchase the Timed Research for US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). This will grant you an event-exclusive Timed Research, which will reward the following.
- One Super Incubator
- One Premium Battle Pass
- An encounter with Gimmighoul holding a 10th anniversary coin with a Special Background
- More rewards
You can also purchase the 10th Anniversary bundle from the Pokémon GO Web Store. The bundle will be available during the event for US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). With your purchase, you receive a free Incubator and a free Premium Pass.
Paid/Premium Timed Research Tasks and Rewards.
The following are the research tasks and associated rewards.
- Catch 10 Pokémon to receive 1 Incense
- Make 10 Nice Throws to recieve 1 Egg Incubator
- Make 10 Nice Curveball Throws to receive 1 Rocket Radar
- Spin 10 Different PokéStops or Gyms to receive 1 Premium Battle Pass
- Evolve 10 Pokémon to receive 1 Poffin
- Earn 10 hearts with your Buddy to receive 1 Max Mushroom
- Earn 1,000 XP to receive 1 Lucky Egg
- Earn 1,000 Stardust to receive 1 Star Piece
After completing these, you will receive an encounter with Gimmighoul, 10,000 Stardust, and 1 Super Incubator. The Gimmighoul may have a Special Backgroun and/or may be a Shiny one.
New Avatar Item
A Gimmighoul-themed top and bottom clothing will be available to purchase in the in-game shop during the event.
Stickers
You’ll be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
