A Shockingly Good Time event and Daily Spotlight Hour, featuring Electric-type Pokémon, is scheduled to start on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will continue to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Daily Spotlight Hours
There will be daily spotlight hours during the “A Shockingly Good Time event, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. The following Pokémon will be featured.
- Tuesday, March 31: Mareep
- Wednesday, April 1: Pikachu and Mimikyu
- Thursday, April 2: Magnemite
- Friday, April 3: Chinchou
- Saturday, April 4: Pawmi
- Sunday, April 5: Dedenne
- Monday, April 6: Joltik
Mimikyu Debut
Mimikyu will start appearing in the wild from 12 a.m. local time on April 1. It will also appear during the April 1, 2026, Spotlight Hour alongside Pikachu from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. local time. However, it will be an encounter reward for Rank 30 and 60 on the A Shockingly Good Time event-exclusive GO Pass. All Trainers will be able to encounter Mimikyu on the free GO Pass.
Furthermore, Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokémon, may be encountered either in the wild or when you complete Field Research tasks until the end of the A Shockingly Good Time event.

A Shockingly Good Time Event Bonus
Trainers participating in the event will have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pikachu, Shiny Chinchou, and Shiny Dedenne!
Wild Encounters
Trainers may encounter event-themed Pokémon in the wild, including Pikachu, Magnemite, Chinchou, Mareep, Joltik, Dedenne, Pawmi, and more.
Field Research Encounters
Electric-type Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks. These are Pikachu, Magnemite, Mareep, Chinchou, Joltik, Dedenne, Pawmi, and Alolan Raichu.
Examples of the Field Research Tasks are as follows.
- Catch 3 Pikachu
- Catch 5 different species of Electric-type Pokémon
- Catch 8 Electric-type Pokémon
- Power up Electric-type Pokémon 5 times
A Shockingly Good Time: GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: A Shockingly Good Time on Tuesday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will be available until Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
There will be no daily limit for how many GO Points you can earn on Saturday, April 4, at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, April 6, at 7:59 p.m. local time.
Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Wednesday, April 8, at 7:59 p.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!
GO Pass Deluxe will be available for purchase at an extra cost.
