The Global Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will take place around the world on Saturday, June 28, 2025, and Sunday, June 29, 2025. The biggest event of the year will occur on both days from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in your local time.
Pokémon GO Trainers from all areas of the world will be able to participate in an extraordinary adventure during the packed Global Pokémon GO Fest 2025. Likewise, trainers can join other trainers in their community to participate in this global event at no cost. However, any trainer can choose to upgrade their experience with an event ticket.
Global Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Event Ticket
Trainers with an event ticket will receive an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion, including the event-special bonuses and rewards. Pokémon GO trainers can purchase the event ticket until the last day of the event.
The event ticket is currently available in the in-game shop or the Pokémon GO Web Store (to receive 3 Premium Battle Passes, 5 Rare Candies, and 5 Max Revives at no additional cost).
Event Details
The Mythical Pokémon, Volcanion, will be available globally on the first day of the Global Pokémon GO Fest 2025. Ticket-holding Trainers will be able to complete an exclusive Special Research that rewards an encounter with Volcanion, the Steam Pokémon.

If you have previously encountered Volcanion during the earlier in-person Pokémon GO Fest 2025, completing the Global Special Research will grant you Volcanion’s Candy as a reward instead of another encounter with Volcanion.
There will be other new things such as the following.
- Skiddo and Klefki will be available in Pokémon GO globally as encounters for ticket-holding Trainers.
- Shiny Carbink and Shiny Frigibax will make their Shiny Pokémon debuts in Pokémon GO. Both shiny debuts will be available in the wild for all trainers – if lucky.
Event Raids
Different featured Pokémon will appear in their respective raid tiers during the global GO Fest 2025. They are as follows.
- One-Star Raids: Frigibax
- Three-Star Raids: ??
- Five-Star Raids:
- on Saturday: Crowned Shield Zamazenta
- on Sunday: Crowned Shield Zacian
All Pokémon in their respective raid tiers can be shiny. Crowned Sword Zamazenta and Crowned Shield Zacian will revert to their Hero of Many Battles forms when you encounter them after defeating them in a raid.
Event-themed Pokémon in the Wild
Event-themed Pokémon (and their Shiny version, if lucky) will appear in rotating habitats during both days of the event. The rotating habitats, their time slot, and the Pokémon in the wild are as follows.
- Moonless Volcano habitat: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time.
- Houndour, Numel, Duskull, Gothita, Golett, Fletchling, Flabébé (Red Flower), Skrelp, Fuecoco, and Carbink.
- Galvanic Dojo habitat: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time.
- Machop, Electabuzz, Teddiursa, Scraggy, Chespin, Flabébé (Yellow Flower), Pancham, Dedenne, Crabrawler, and Mienfoo.
- Hypnotic Tundra: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
- Alolan Sansdhew, Swinub, Spheal, Piplup, Snover, Flabébé (Blue Flower), Munna, Elgyem, Bergmite, and Frigibax.
- Fae Swamp: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
- Clefairy, Tentacool, Mawile, Gulpin, Venipede, Popplio, Mareanie, Morelull, Togetic, and Flabébé (Orange Flower).
In addition to the rotating habitats, different Pokémon will be appearing in the wild throughout event days. The following Pokémon (and their Shiny version, if lucky) will appear on either Saturday or Sunday.
- Saturday
- Shield-themed Pokémon: Chansey, Skarmory, Lavitar, Shieldon, Shelmet, Vullaby, Oranguru, and Goomy.
- Sunday
- Sword-themed Pokémon: Galarian Farfetch’d, Cubone, Ralts, Karrablast, Pawniard, Deino, Passimian, and Jangmo-o.
Incense Encounters (excluding Daily Adventure Incense)
Ticket-holding Trainers will have the following Pokémon attracted to Incense during the event. Using Incense during the different 1-hour rotating habitats will spawn the following Pokémon encounters.
- Moonless Volcano habitat: Torkoal
- Galvanic Dojo habitat: Skiddo
- Hypnotic Tundra habitat: Pachirisu
- Fae Swamp habitat: Klefki
- Saturday (every top of the hour): Unown S, Unown H, Unown E, Unown I, Unown L, and Unown D.
- Sunday (every top of the hour): Unown S, Unown W, Unown O, Unown R, and Unown D.
All can be shiny except Klefki.
Global Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Event Bonuses
All Trainers participating in the Global GO Fest 2025 will receive the following bonuses and rewards. These are only available during the event hours, on both days.
- Special event-themed Field Research
- One Surprise encounters in GO Snapshot
- One-hour Lure Module duration
- Party Play duration increased from three hours to eight hours

However, ticket-holding Trainers will receive the following additional bonuses and rewards during the event hours, on both days.
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon
- Special Research leading to an encounter with Volcanion
- Special Research with branching paths: Sword or Shield

- Hourly Global Challenges with exciting rewards
