You can get Crowned Shield Zamazenta and Crowned Sword Zacian! However, right now (at the time of writing this) only Trainers participating in the in-person GO Fest 2025: Osaka, Japan have been able to get either of the new Zamazenta and Zacian forms. Trainers participating in the in-person GO Fest 2025: New Jersey City, USA, and Paris Festival in France will be the next to get those Pokémon.
Crowned Shield Zamazenta and Crowned Sword Zacian will then be available to get during the Global GO Fest 2025.
Getting Crowned Shield Zamazenta and Crowned Sword Zacian
To get either of the new forms of Zamamzenta and Zacian, know and do the following.
- You do NOT need to fuse either Zamazenta or Zacian with any other Pokémon. You only need to transform (i.e., change form) either.
- Crowned Shield Zamazenta
- The Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) you want to change into Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) should know the non-exclusive Charged Attack Iron Head.
- The Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) you want to change into Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) will need 1000 Crowned Shield Energy and 30 Zamazenta Candy.
- You can get Crowned Shield Energy by defeating Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) in raids or via Special Research.
- Crowned Sword Zacian
- The Zacian (Hero of Many Battles) you want to change into Zacian (Crowned Sword) should know the non-exclusive Charged Attack Iron Head.
- The Zacian (Hero of Many Battles) you want to change into Zacian (Crowned Sword) will need 1000 Crowned Sword Energy and 30 Zacian Candy.
- You can get Crowned Sword by defeating Zacian (Crowned Sword) in raids or via Special Research.
Please note either Energy via Special Research is ONLY available during the in-person GO Fests. Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) is ONLY available on the Saturday of the Global GO FEST. Zacian (Crowned Sword) is ONLY available on the Sunday of the Global GO FEST.
Other important details
- Since you are not fusing either Zamazenta or Zacian with another Pokémon, there would be no IVs (individual values) changes. The Zamazenta or Zacian you get after changing their forms will have the same IVs as your previous forms. However, what you get is a CP (Combat Power) increase.
- Once you change to either form, you can change that form as many times as you want without using energy. You can change your already transformed Hero of Many Battles form into the Crowned form as many times as you want.
- When you change into Zamazenta (Crowned Shield), the Charged Attack Iron Head changes into the Charged Attack Behemoth Blade.
- When you change into Zacian (Crowned Sword), the Charged Attack Iron Head changes into the Charged Attack Behemoth Bash.
- With these new Charged Attacks, you can use either Zamazenta (Crowned Shield) or Zacian (Crowned Sword) in Max Battles.
- You can unlock Max Guard and Max Spirit
- You can level up either Attack (i.e., Behemoth Blade or Behemoth Bash).
Now you have all the information you need to get Crowned Shield Zamazenta and Crowned Sword Zacian. Go ahead and prepare for these. You can also keep watch as it may be updated before the global release of the new Zamazenta and Zacian forms.
