Halloween 2025 (Part 1): Poltchageist and Sinistcha debuts

Halloween 2025 (Part 1) is coming up in Pokémon GO on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will continue until Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The event features the debut of Poltchageist and Sinistcha, the Matcha Pokémon, in Pokémon GO. Likewise, Shiny Sinistea will be making its debut in Pokémon GO.

From the start of the event, Trainers will be able to use 50 Poltchageist Candy to evolve Poltchageist into Sinistcha. Also, Trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Sinistea if lucky.

Please note that during the event, Pokémon encounters, PokéStops, and Gyms will be decorated for Halloween.

Halloween 2025 (Part 1) Event Bonuses

Trainers participating in Part 1 of the Halloween event will have access to the following bonuses, depending on the major milestone reached on the GO Pass: Halloween 2025.

Before we get into the event bonuses, what’s the GO Pass: Halloween 2025?

GO Pass: Halloween 2025

GO Pass: Halloween 2025 is a free, limited-time progress track available from Tuesday, October 21, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 2, at 8:00 p.m. local time. It is specifically focused on Halloween. Trainers can complete certain tasks to earn GO Points. Earning GO Points leads to an increase in your rank on the GO Pass. You earn more rewards when you increase your rank.

Trainers will automatically receive the GO Pass at the start of the event. The GO Pass will be available till Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. All rewards must be claimed before this time.

Trainers who want more reward and bonuses can purchase either the US$7.99 or the US$9.99 GO Pass Deluxe: Halloween 2025. All prices listed are in USD or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency.

All Trainers will be able to encounter Rotom, event-themed Pokémon, Stardust, XP, Poké Balls, Candy, and more as rewards from the free GO Pass. However, Trainers who purchase the GO Pass Deluxe will have access to Teatime avatar pose, additional encounters with event-themed Pokémon, Premium Battle Passes, Candy XL, and more. These rewards are in addition to the rewards from the free GO Pass.

Now, the Event Bonuses

When you reach Major Milestones on your GO Pass: Halloween 2025, you will unlock the following bonuses.

• Tier 1
  • 2× Catch Candy
  • GO Pass Deluxe: 3× Catch Candy
• Tier 2
  • Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws
• Tier 3
  • 2× Candy for transferring Pokémon
  • Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for transferring Pokémon
  • GO Pass Deluxe: 3× Candy for transferring Pokémon
  • GO Pass Deluxe: Even greater chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for transferring Pokémon

Event-themed Wild Encounters and Raid Encounter

During the event, Sinistea, Zorua, Hisuian Zorua, Greavard, and more will be appearing frequently in the wild. The following Pokémon will be appearing in their respective Raid tiers

• One-Star Raids: Galarian Yamask, Sinistea, and Poltchageist
• One-Star Shadow Raids: Shadow Yamask and Shadow Phantump
• Three-Star Raids: Alolan Marowak, Hisuian Typhlosion, and Hisuian Samurott.

Field Research Task Encounters

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available! Trainers can encounter the following Pokémon when certain Field Research tasks are completed.

• Sableye
• Yamask
• Zorua
• Hisuian Zorua
• Litwick
• Vullaby
• Phantump
• Spiritomb

Other Field Research tasks will award the Mega Energy for the following Pokémon.

• Gengar
• Houndoom
