New Dynamax Pokémon will be making their debut in Pokémon GO during the Season of Twilight Trails, bringing incredible new power to Max Battles and high-tier PvE. These are Dynamax Rhyhorn, Dynamax Sneasel, Dynamax Sizzlipede, and the legendary Lake Guardians, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf.
Originally discovered in the Kanto, Johto, Unova, and Sinnoh regions respectively, these powerful Dynamax additions open up exciting new meta options for Ground, Rock, Ice, Dark, Bug, Fire, and Psychic-type Dynamax Pokémon, either as a defender, healer, or attacker.
New Dynamax Pokémon in Pokémon GO
Dynamax Rhyhorn and its evolution line, Dynamax Rhydon, and Dynamax Rhyperior
You will want to use Dynamax Rhyperior in Max Battles rather than using its pre-evolutions. Dynamax Rhyperior has the following stats.
Types: Ground / Rock
Max CP (Level 50): 4353 CP
Max Battle Encounter CP: 886 to 943 CP (as Dynamax Rhyhorn)
Optimal Moveset: Mud-Slap and Rock Wrecker (or Earthquake)
The new Dynamax Rhyperior is a massive addition to Max Battles. It would be very useful as a Max Battle attacker against Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock, and Steel-type Dynamax Max Battle bosses.
Dynamax Sneasel and its evolution, Dynamax Weavile
You will want to use Dynamax Weavile in Max Battles rather than using its pre-evolution. Dynamax Weavile has the following stats.
Types: Dark / Ice
Max CP (Level 50): 3397 CP
Max Battle Encounter CP: 1107 to 1172 CP (as Dynamax Sneasel)
Optimal Moveset: Ice Shard and Triple Axel
The new Dynamax Weavile is a semi-massive addition to Max Battles. It would be useful as a Max Battle attacker against Grass, Flying, Ground, and Dragon-type Dynamax Max Battle bosses.
Dynamax Sizzlipede and its evolution, Dynamax Centiskorch
You will want to use Dynamax Centiskorch in Max Battles rather than using its pre-evolution. Dynamax Centiskorch has the following stats.
Types: Fire / Bug
Max CP (Level 50): 3381 CP
Max Battle Encounter CP: 553 to 599 CP (as Dynamax Sizzlipede)
Optimal Moveset: Bug Bite and Bug Buzz
The new Dynamax Centiskorch is a good addition to Max Battles. Due to its typing, it would be useful as a Max Battle attacker against Grass-, Bug-, Ice-, and Steel-type Dynamax Max Battle bosses.
Dynamax Uxie, Dynamax Mesprit, and Dynamax Azelf
These Dynamax Legendary Pokémon will most likely be available regionally, just like their non-Dynamax counterparts. These Dynamax Lake Guardians (or Lake Trio) have the following stats.
Types: Psychic (all three)
Max CP (Level 50): 2853 (Uxie) / 3457 (Mesprit) / 3629 (Azelf)
Max Battle Encounter CP: 1370 to 1442 (Uxie) / 1669 to 1747 (Mesprit) / 1752 to 1834 (Azelf)
Optimal Moveset: Confusion and Future Sight
The new legendary trio brings immense defensive bulk (Uxie), balanced stats (Mesprit), and fierce offensive potential (Azelf) to Max Battles. They serve as exceptional anchors against Fighting and Poison-type Dynamax bosses.
Beyond just leveling up your counters, coordinating with a local community or Raid group can significantly lower the candy and Stardust investment required to take down higher-tier bosses.
As trainers gear up for these exciting new Max Dynamax Battle debuts, incorporating Dynamax Rhyperior, Dynamax Weavile, Dynamax Centiskorch, and the Lake Guardians into your active raiding and Dynamax strategies will prove essential.
Tips for Preparing Your New Dynamax Roster
Stock Up on Max Particles: Ensure you hit Power Spots daily to maximize your particle storage before tackling these new boss rotations.
Prioritize Moveset Unlocks: Unlocking secondary fast and charged moves on key counters like Dynamax Rhyperior provides vital type coverage against unpredictable raid bosses.
