The Pokémon GO 2025 Week 17 is going to start on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. local time and continue until Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time. There are activities planned for the new week. Here are what you should be prepared for.
Pokémon GO 2025 Week 17 Activities
Main Events
- The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event continues until Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 8:00 p.m. local time.
- Applin and its evolutions, Flapple, and Appletun will be making their debut in Pokémon GO during the Sweet Discoveries event. This event will be from Thursday, April 24, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time to Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 8:00 p.m. local time.
- Dynamax Entei will make its debut in Pokémon GO during the Max Battle Weekend on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time and Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.
- There will be a Timed Research leading up to the Dynamax Entei Max Battles. Trainers will have access to this research on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. local time. The timed research expires on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time. Completing it rewards you with an encounter with Dynamax Sobble, Sobble Candy, Sobble Candy XL, Stardust, Fast TMs, and Max Particles.
- Also, Trainers will be able to enjoy a reduced cost for unlocking and powering up Max Moves. It’ll take 3/4 of the usual cost to unlock and power up max moves. This bonus runs from Monday, April 21, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time.
- The week will end with Vanillite Community Day. This is on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Raids
- Blacephalon (Western Hemisphere) and Stakataka (Eastern Hemisphere) are still in Five-Star raids until Monday, April 21, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time.
- Cresselia will then be in Five-Star raids from Monday, April 21, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time to Thursday, May 1, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time.
- Mega Sceptile is still in Mega raids until Monday, April 21, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time.
- Mega Mawile will then be in Mega raids from Monday, April 21, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time to Thursday, May 1, 2025, 10:00 a.m. local time.
- Shadow Registeel is still in Five-star Shadow Raids (during the weekends) until Sunday, May 4, 2025.
- Different Pokémon will be available in One-Star and Three-Star raids, depending on this week’s main events.
Raid Hour
- Cresselia will be featured during the raid hour on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
Spotlight Hour
- Morelull will be featured during the Spotlight hour on Tuesday, April 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
- The bonus for this hour is 2x Catch Stardust per Pokémon. This is the hour you want to grind Stardust while using 2 Star Pieces for the entire 1-hour duration. Catching Morelull gives 500 Stardust per Catch. This will be 1000 stardust per catch with the spotlight hour bonus. Using Star Piece makes it 1500 stardust per catch. Pokémon GO 2025 Week 17 Max Battles
- The following Dynamax Pokémon will be available in Max Battles until Monday, April 21, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. local time.

- Dynamax Sobble will be featured during the Max Monday hour on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
Pokémon GO 2025 Week 17 GO Battle League
The following Leagues will be available from 4:00 p.m. EST for each start date.
- Spring Cup: Great League Edition: until April 22
- Master League: until April 29.
- Great League: April 22 – April 29.
- Ultra League: April 22 – 29.
Pokémon GO Season Ticketed Event
- April Power Up Ticket: Friday, April 4, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
- April GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe: until Tuesday, May 6 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Pokémon GO Reward Road
- April Reward Road: until April 30, 2025, at 23:59 UTC.
In addition to the above, there will be PokéStop Showcases throughout this week. These Showcases will be between Monday and Tuesday, and then Saturday and Sunday.
