This week, June 22–28, 2026, is one of the most bird-focused weeks of the Season. Trainers can participate in the daily discoveries, Flying Taxi event, the Flying Taxi: Taken Over Team GO Rocket event, daily raids, Spotlight Hour, PvP battles, and Super Mega Skarmory Raid Day.

June 22–28, 2026: All Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO
The final full week of June is packed with shiny hunting opportunities in Pokémon GO. Between the Flying Taxi event, Team GO Rocket takeover, Mega Skarmory Raid Day, Dynamax Hoothoot Max Battles, and regular raid rotations, Trainers have numerous chances to add rare shinies to their collections.
Here are all of the shiny Pokémon available during events and weekly rotations taking place from June 22 through June 28.

Dynamax Max Battles
Dynamax Hoothoot will be available in Dynamax battles from Monday, June 22 to Sunday, June 28, 2026. Hoothoot can be shiny, so Dynamax Hoothoot may also be shiny.
Weekly Challenge Task
A new Weekly Challenge will be live from Monday, June 22 to Monday, June 29, 2026. Tandemaus is an encounter after completing the Weekly Challenge task. Tandemaus may be shiny.
Flying Taxi Event (June 23–29)
The main event of the week is Flying Taxi, which introduces Squawkabilly to Pokémon GO. Although Squawkabilly itself and its other forms cannot currently be shiny, many featured Pokémon have shiny forms available.
The event-themed Pokémon appearing in raids may be shiny. These are Swablu, Starly, Vullaby, Corvisquire, Hisuian Braviary, and Bombirdier. Other Pokémon encounters from the event GO Pass that can be shiny are Pidgeotto, Hoothoot, Rookidee, and more.
Current and Upcoming Legendary and Mega Raid Shiny Opportunities
Outside of event-specific encounters, several raid bosses available during the week may also be shiny. Necrozma, which may be shiny, will be in Five-Star raids until June 23, 2026. Likewise, Mega Scizor, which may be shiny, will be in Mega raids until June 23, 2026. Celesteela and Kartana, which may be shiny, will be in Five-Star raids from June 24, 2026. Likewise, Mega Pidgeot, which may be shiny, will be in Mega raids from June 24, 2026.
Additionally, Shadow Dialga continues appearing in Shadow Raids throughout June and can be shiny. If you have not gotten a Shiny Shadow Dialga, this week is another opportunity to try.
Flying Taxi: Taken Over (June 25–29)
Team GO Rocket takes over beginning June 25, bringing new Shadow Pokémon and a new Giovanni encounter featuring Shadow Reshiram. Trainers lucky enough to defeat Giovanni may encounter a shiny Shadow Reshiram.
The new Shadow Pokémon introduced during the event include Shadow Seel, Shadow Hoothoot, Shadow Noibat, and Shadow Rookidee. If you’re lucky, all four may be encountered as shiny Shadow Pokémon after rescue battles. This makes the Rocket takeover one of the most exciting shiny events of the month.
Spotlight Hour
Wingull, which is featured during the week’s Spotlight Hour, may also be shiny. While Spotlight Hours do not increase shiny rates, the increased spawn numbers provide many opportunities to hunt for one.
Super Mega Skarmory Raid Day (June 27)
Saturday, June 27, 2026, features the debut of Mega Skarmory during a special Raid Day. Trainers battling Mega Skarmory have an increased chance of encountering a shiny Skarmory, making this one of the top priorities of the week.
Additional free raid passes are available, allowing players to maximize their shiny hunting opportunities.
