Snom debuts in Pokémon GO during the Cozy Companions event. Likewise, its evolution, Frosmoth will debut in Pokémon during the same event. The Cozy Companions event starts on Wednesday, August 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It will continue until Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Snom, the Worm Pokémon is an Ice- and Bug-type Pokémon first discovered in the Galar region. Its maximum Combat Power (CP) stat is 597 CP (i.e., level 50). Its best moveset in Pokémon GO is Struggle Bug as a Fast Attack and Bug Buzz as a Charged Attack. As an Ice- and Bug-type Pokémon, its encounters are boosted during Snow and Rain weather conditions in-game. Snom hatched from Eggs has a maximum of 302 CP. If you encounter this, it is a perfect Pokémon. In addition, if encountered as a Raid reward, the maximum CP is 302 CP during a non-weather boosted condition. The maximum CP is 377 CP during a weather-boosted condition. Both 302 CP and 377 CP are hundos.
Please note that evolving Snom into Frosmoth requires 3 different tasks. They are as follows.
- You will need 400 Snom Candy to evolve Snom into Frosmoth.
- You will need to have earned 10 buddy hearts with the Snom you want to evolve.
- You can only evolve Snom into Frosmoth at night.
Snom Debuts Event Bonuses
Trainers participating in the event will have access to the following event-themed bonuses.
- 2× XP from hatching Eggs.
- One extra Special Trade per day (for a total of 3 special trades during the event).
- For the first time in Pokémon GO, you might even encounter Shiny Tandemaus—if you’re lucky!
- Tandemaus will have an increased chance to be encountered from Party Play!
- Friendship levels will increase faster than normal through opening Gifts, trading Pokémon, or battling together in raids, Gyms, or Trainer Battles!
